I am a musician - I play music from the Near- and Middle-East, on a variety of interesting instruments (lutes, flutes, drums and whistles).

I am a founding member of a band called Temur Khanlar that plays folk and dance music - mostly Turkish.

I am also an ethnic dancer, and have been active in both folk and oriental (raqs sharqi) dance - as a performer and in the promotion of these arts.

Collecting ethnic and folk art is a lifetime obsession. I love textiles - especially rugs and kilims.
