Pisscapade - a pisscapade is when a person, or more usually several people, go off to hunt down either a bathroom or, in more natural environments, any suitable place to take a piss. Today is a yellow-orange day. Everything is looking up. I think I'll take my yellow-orange crayon. And draw a yellow-orange buttercup. Today has a yellow-orange feel. Everything is beaming bright. Passion, resentments, and malicious gossip in a small village on the Bosnian/Serbian border foretell the approaching Balkan war. The traditional Balkan troubadour - the guslar - comments on the action as an inevitable result of history and unforgiven dishonors. The playwright is Jovanka Bach. The play was a finalist for the PEN West competition. The cast includes Tony award winner Trezana Beverly, Jelena Stupljanin, Tony Naumovski, Lanna Joffrey, Aaron Lohr, Christo Christov, Josh Clayton, Matthew Schmidt, Herman Petras, and Paul Barry. Performances Wed - Sun at 7:30, Sun at 2:30. No performances on July 4th or evening of July 13th. This production is an approved Actor's Equity showcase. Tickets are $20. "The play, a finalist for a PEN West Playwright Award, uses the historical saga of the controversial and legendary Prince Marko, who fought the Ottomans many centuries ago, as a metaphor for current conflicts in the Balkans. The play is set in the village of Sabor, home to Bosnians and Serbs, in the early 1990's. As war approaches, it reveals the hidden secrets, crimes and passions that have plagued the village for decades."

Thousands of years ago, the Jewish people wandered in the desert for 40 years searching for the promised land. That's determination! This year, in the Black Rock Desert, dress like you're fleeing Egyptian slavelords and join Moses, Aaron and the whole Heeb posse for 40 (minutes, not years) as we find our roots by wandering, eating matzah, parting a red sea, worshiping a golden calf, getting some commandments, and maybe getting rewarded with a little milk and honey. Goys and Shicksas welcome!
