My Testimonials

November 15, 2007
The big, strong, quiet types way-lay me all the time. Da scuba boy ... err ... manly man ... is a true blessing, a change-agent, and a writer. Intellectual stimulation wrapped up in a California surfer boy.

Oh, swoon, oh, sighs over the swells deep green kissed with foam that a surfboard doth touch.

Scott is one of the MOST awesome dudes I've ever met. Assured, proactive, dashing, chilled...these are a few of the words I think of when I think of Scott E. Pants.

I'm lucky I met him...

i couldn't tell 'em (blog entry) I was working as Divemaster on a boat in Monterey Bay yesterday. the seals and sea lions were jumping out of the ocean in pairs, threesomes, foursomes, more than I'd never seen at one time, and in one place! I watched the divers' bubbles from the ... read more

date rape tarantula (blog entry) I just saw a Tarantula in the corner of my garage. At first it freaked the shit out of me, but then, as I approached him, I saw that he was sort of busy rocking back and forth against a horizontal web that he'd spun onto the floor. Then he turned... read more

howlin' at the moonski (blog entry) It's going okay out here in the woods. Funny though, I am living in one of the most affluent neighborhoods but I've never been so broke in my entire life. I am just a penniless pauper, a 39-year-old washout. But I guess since I'm white AND never ... read more

I was working as Divemaster on a boat in Monterey Bay yesterday. the seals and sea lions were jumping out of the ocean in pairs, threesomes, foursomes, more than I'd never seen at one time, and in one place! I watched the divers' bubbles from the deck and as each one came out and handed me his fins with an ecstatic expression, i couldn't tell 'em what I was hearing while they were underwater playing with the seal pups: coast guard radio transmissions about the magnitude of last week's oil spi... read more

I just saw a Tarantula in the corner of my garage. At first it freaked the shit out of me, but then, as I approached him, I saw that he was sort of busy rocking back and forth against a horizontal web that he'd spun onto the floor. Then he turned around and waved a little furry leg at me. It was as if he was saying "Hey dude, I'm kinda busy here. Do you mind?"

"OK," I said. "Sorry dude," and immediately went inside to Google Tarantula, to find out what he was doing. And I'm paraphrasing h... read more

It's going okay out here in the woods. Funny though, I am living in one of the most affluent neighborhoods but I've never been so broke in my entire life. I am just a penniless pauper, a 39-year-old washout. But I guess since I'm white AND never stopped going to the dentist, nobody thinks I'm as homeless as I really am. Anyway, I am going to school in February for Marine Science and Technology with my sights set on jumping onboard one of those groovy research vessels that discover new specie... read more

Well I'm off to a new pad in Carmel Valley. I'll be living in a little log cabin with a wacky German marine engineer, who also happens to be a Great White Shark Attack Victim. Is there any wonder why I moved in? Hell, he even showed me the teeth marks! Anyway, it's cool because he's got an old inflatable boat in the backyard to I'm gonna blow it up and take it out to the spot where he got bit. Just Cuz. Anyway, he's almost always traveling on some crazy expedition. He does stuff like taking s... read more
