A friend of mine has this on his site. It really resonates with me and what I'm currently going through in my life.

about me
I'm officially in the SF Bay Area now! Still feeling a bit transient due to all my stuff being in storage... But I am now setting up a homebase with my sweetie!
Went to Burning Man, 2006. My first time. Was blessed to be part of Conexus Cathedral. A wonderful group of people who created a magical place and experience enjoyed by all who were there. In a nutshell: I quit my job in 2005 and dramatically simplified my life. I'm selling practically everything I own. I dream of eventually being a liveaboard cruiser, with the goal of world travel. In the meantime... I need to learn how to sail! Fearless. I don't feel my age. I'm a cat who has gone through a few of her nine lives. I've burnt the candle on both ends and in the middle. I never got any tattoos or extra piercings because I preferred to have a more chameleon appearance. Yeah, rather vanilla, but no regrets seeing where I am now, alive, versus, considering my past scene in punk/goth decades ago, where I could be... The only radical thing I did was shave my head or dye my hair, but the hair always grew back. Because of my "unmarked" appearance I find people are quite surprised by my alternative thoughts, expressions and interests. I am outgoing, somewhat of an exhibitionist, outspoken. I am an incorrigible flirt. I like playing on my computer (neophyte Geek), working on my website and keeping in touch with family & friends via email and video chat. I am a water baby and the rain doesn't get me down. I return to my hometown in CA as often as I can for a dip in the warmer end of the Pacific Ocean. I am a firm believer in Karma. Spiritual, non-religious.

Not that I need a "reason"... I was once told by my mom that "sex isn't all that important" when I gave her one of my reasons on why I didn't want to get married any time soon to the guy I was dating - he wasn't that adept, no matter how much I tried to show him. Hell yes, Mom - it IS that important! I'm printing this and hanging it up where it can be seen every day. www.newsweek.com/id/74575 read more
I worked for one of my longtime girlfriends on an entertainment venue she was creating in the Gaslamp area.

I put together a silly slide show just for the heck of it, and posted it on YouTube. This was my first attempt with iMovie, without RTFM, and it shows! hehehehe My gift for Gina and her crew: www.youtube.com/watch
I grew up there and left in '89. I was staying down there this year from January to March... and loved laying out to get a tan in January since I had left the chilly snow in the Pacific Northwest. All my friends are affected... can't wait till this is over.

Pic shows me in the middle holding "Butch" the snake. I'm at a birthday party in El Cajon, circa 1976. So far, I think that area is spared at this moment, but the fire is east over those hills... which are now completely covere... read more
Wow, one year ago, Friday, I arrived early on the Playa. I was all by myself, and was looking for the one soul I knew in a camp full of people I didn't know. It was dinnertime at the camp that I signed up for. After setting up my tent, I joined the group... Across the covered space I spied a man who didn't appear to be a typical hippie/ alternative/ burner. Life as I knew it would exist no longer... That's me in the pink top, stepping over stuff. Pure Virgin. (Happy Anniversary baby!)...

* KOOL TIE (see my photo - that blue thing on my neck) I got mine at REI for @ $10.00. This saved my sanity by keeping me from overheating during my work before, during and takedown after BM. * Plastic drawer bins: Best stackable solution. Easy to see, access and sort. Place under a table to minimize dust. All items in drawers were zipped. * King-sized sheet to cover bed and pillows and protect from dust. Don't sleep un... read more
