A good way to look at life.

"When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things -- your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full."

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else -- the small stuff."

If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness."

"Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18 holes. There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal."

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked," he said. "It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."

You know what Ironman was a blast Hellboy was beautiful and Dark Knight is in a class by itself.

Not since Pan's Labyrinth(cooincidentally directed by the man who did both Hellboys) have I sat in the theater vibrating from all the visuals and emotions that the film brought out in me.

If you do not care for comic book movies then maybe this film is not for you, if you could give a shit about Batman or the Joker or for Heath Ledger then maybe this film isn't for you...but I have to say th... read more

Goofy things my friends think about me!

Cybele.

Cybele, Cybele, Cybele...

She is a force to be reckoned with, and I love her! She has opinions and she's completely unapologetic about brandishing them to the woefully ignorant. She is one of my inspirations, as a stage presence...as a strong woman...and as a friend.

She is fiercely loyal, like a mama lion, and it is a comfort and an honor to be included in her "pack". She also is a reminder to me that often in life the people I suspect I would have nothing in common with turn out to be my closest friends. Thank you for surprising me these many years, Belle!

Cybele is an amazing woman, and I am proud to be a friend of hers for over *mumble* years and I have the pictures from Agoura to prove.. The best thing in the world is to know how happy she is now and All I can do is hope that happiness remains, any who know her just know....

talented and lovely, a killer combination...

and of course also a Disney fan...... all good things in her favor.. if only I were a 10th as talented..

Cybele. To know her is to love her. And I love her LONG time!
One of the most amazing, talented women I know. So fun, and funny. *snort*. The Queen of Adam Ant's world, she is one of the coolest people I've ever met.

I miss seeing her and being able to perform with her...but she's still a great part of my life.

I had a crush on Cybele about 10 years ago, seeing her at Faire and in the occasional record shop in the City.

Now, she is my friend and I could'nt be happier to have her.

She is a sweet, caring person with a smoking, hot body and a laugh you can hear echoing off the mountains of Lake Tahoe.

Be good to her.

She is beautiful. Honest, intelligent, and strong willed. The weak need not apply for her cup of tea. Until I met her, I didn't know a person like this existed. Now I know her, I will never be the same.

Thank you Belle :-) You always have a warm room in my heart. A nice warm room, with a rug, a little crackeling fire, some throw cushions...
