Here they call it "rip-off Britain"... £20 DVD's, books are almost 2x the cost, food is outrageous, the most mundane meal is £10... a sandwich and chips and a drink... 
I'm a bit overdue for a post here. I've been blogging in my head the whole time, but that doesn't count.

Well, after two months of homelessness I have a nice artists garret on the top floor of an old brick building in trendy Shoreditch. The intersection a block away has been there since the year 700, the great Ermine Street just outside the walls of Londonium. Anyway, time to pull out Persona and watch in memory of his passing, or that 84 hour long Criterion version of "Fanny and Alexander" My "ex-sister-in-law" reported that after the suicide of several students in one semester, the UCLA film school discontinued its intensive course on Bergman in the mid-eighties. Sad but funny. 
I've had a lot of ideas welling up for this, so I'm going to dive in and start posting. I might move it to a more formal blog later, but hell this is wired in to you people, so I'll go for it.
