New ambient project/mix is complete. Much time and consideration has resulted in something I am totally stoked with. I engaged alot of suspense and subtlety, energy and motion, composite and simplicity in this one. It reflects much of my inner cinema and the sonic language visualized thru my custom ear goggles.

I am ultra excited to be playing at Oracle Gatherings - "The Other Side" this next Saturday in Seattle. Last year they had me play an ambient set in one of the chill rooms. This year I am lucky enough to play the closing 3am-5am main room slot... Being so close to Halloween, as it was last year, the turn out can be somewhere between 600-1000 people fully decked out in costumes and very much ready to GET ON DOWN! I must admit it can be a bit more hectic than Oracles held at different times of year and in outdoor settings but really really fun none-the-less. Not to mention the Oracle crew and supporters are some of the best people I know and I have shared many of my best music, friendship and dancing experiences with them over the years. I arrive Friday Oct 27th around midday and will be cruising around town doing this and that and likely hit a couple record stores. falling towards center...some glimmering gossamer strand leading out of the web of monotony, of apathy. pushing thru habitual reflexes, causing that curling motion, that mimicing of potato bugs...a folding in of the self...seeking warmth, seeking shelter, seeking sight: following by braille this gossamer strand tied to the earth. purpose? is there some greater purpose than this? does there exist some cosmic slate in the great office of the gods, a slate of purpose? i wake, feel the cool folds of the dream dissipate as my feet touch floor...dust stirring, sending tingles to toes...i marvel at the chill, at the miracle that i rise from the void bearing flesh...flesh that feels. i tell myself there is a method to this seeming madness of monotony. i repeat resolutely that this method has form, has weight, has meter...that this method has purpose that can be molded, has matter. feet propelling forward... into routine, folowing a revolution as ancient as soil: that i must wake, must be, that i must do and then return each night is a mystery. and yet somehow, the fragile faith that again finds a pattern in the patterns of things. a pattern that is mine and mine alone. my gossamer web, my cloud, my dreamscape. each time that siren melody comes calling, i follow. listening distractedly, as if possessed...climbing over precipice, dangling over cavern, digging under decay...emerging once again holding nothing. blind. the waking non-entity that is me, alone...with wispy fragments of siren calls to guide me...to lead me through the monotony and towards center...to push past center and into transmutation...to guide past alchemy and into ether...and finally back into flesh, all before nightfall. before the shades fall once more, i learn to open as a flower does to sun. i learn that this flesh needs moisture, needs nourishment, needs sun, needs love... and my divided self is somehow seared back into one...secure in the smallness of the me that is flesh; confident in the me that is vast, that is spirit. -Wyoming 2002

So...as i watch the clouds roll in today and feel the virtual deepening of my spirit, which always comes with the first sign of seasons, i ponder the ways to synergize with the coming darkness and sometimes heavy moods of winter. Possibly stamped into my particles from 11 years in the distinctly seasonal northwest. In my case i live mostly alone here in SM for the next year and a half due to my lady Wyoming being back to college in Santa Barbara(my new favorite vacation spot). For a while i started feeling the old sad, lonely winter mood of yore and then with no warning I snapped AWAKE.... this is does not need to be labeled sadness or loneliness but rather DEPTH. a softening of the soil for extension of life absorbing and stablizing roots. and early inklings of spring blossoms if we are smart. ... remember when Luke and Yoda were at Dagoba? at first it was so creepy and scary and so totally inhumane... but then a short while later(the beauty of cinema) they had a little mud hut and fire and what could be viewed as home. calm-versations of galaxy, heart, inter-connection with all life. made symbolic by there ensconcement in the deep and murky swamp. adapt or perish. engage in learning how to utilize the life giving world around you. I think we all have imagined a secret chapter with Luke spending a longer period on Dagoba and conquering his fears and raising the X-wing himself and perhaps even learning to communicate with the beautiful flying creatures above :) I remember how obvious it was to us as the viewer(thanks to Yoda) to know that Luke was 'giving in' to his fears and that he totally had the power to overcome them and radiate a luminescent heart force that could, in essence, have possibly turned Dagoba into a tropical paradise. Sound crazy? I dont think so. I recall having many blissful thoughtscapes like that as a child and not doubting them for even a moment. I intend to engage my higher vibration(god damn hippy lingo!) to create challenges and goals for myself to keep my spirits up and my energies engaged instead of tucking them away and 'sombering' in the frequent lack of vibrant color we tend to connect our moods to. makes sense really. After a few minutes of these kind of thoughts and intentions i talked my sleepy head into a many mile(for me) bike ride around the perimeter and then zig-zagging thru my city here in Manta Sonica. I felt my body reversing in age(thanks adreneline:) i lost touch with mental concerns and enjoyed the floating of my own shell around my now synergized lifeforce. haha... i even got honked at once for swerving around in the street like a seagull on wind. i deserved it :) *beep* "lookout u idiot" oh my, thats funny. like back in the sixties... "what the hell~ what is wrong with them with all that long hair and no shoes???" Then next two hours involved multiple conversations with friends about all the common feelings and thoughts going down right now. i even got calls from a couple of my favorite people on earth.. Totally out of the blue and may even result in some welcomed adventures. That rules! So, i think its going to be an amazing fall and winter and well... spring always amazes. Any friends who find yourselves feeling gloomy or friendless, just call me or message me. We will work it out. We will PEACE it together. I know i would be stoked to get out for some hikes, bikes, swims, dance, drums, walks and a barrel of other things. Who wants to join me? My brother invited me last minute to go with him tonight to see a heavy metal show starring WASP. I know it is going to be totally ridiculous and loud and evil. They love to get all satanic and gorey. I wouldnt be surprised if i get some "blood" on me. I guess we have a dinner table reserved close to the stage.. My bro likes to rock in style i guess. So i am off to an all expenses paid - dinner with Satan :) Its been a while since i "partied" with my brother so this should be funny to say the least. Oh and i guess that wicked metal skeleton mic stand has a heavy duty spring in the base so Blackie Lawless (lead singer) can climb up on it for some super sinister crowd boings... Dear Jesus help me!!!

I will be arriving in Seattle this Thursday around 6:30pm. Anyone available for a ride from SEA/TAC airport back into town? Also, I still havent finalized a place to stay on Thurs. and Friday night. looking for a comfortable bed to rest up before the weekend of outdoor activities and allnight DJ adventures. Thursday night I plan to meet up at the new HOSPITALITY - house music night broughtoyou by UnitingSouls. Located at Ximaica, a brand new venue at 2224 2nd, in Belltown between Bell and Blanche. No cover charge! and the rocking the decks from 9pm-2am will be my friends Brett Johnson and Miss Kick. meet me there!!! Friday night i am joining some friends at Chapel Bar on Capitol hill between 10pm-1am and then off to share the decks with DJ Manos between 2-4am at the LOWER LEVEL (1621 -12th ave - Capitol Hill) for some techhouse madness. Again, love to meet up with friends at either of these joints. should be fun. Saturday and Sunday I will be spinning two sets at the 7th annual Prosperity gathering in central WA, outdoors.
