I just want to thanks everyone for coming out Sat. for my workshop. I had SOoo much fun sharing the Saidi choreography and steps. I was so excited to see you all perform it at the end of class all on your own. I hope you will enjoy and pass on the joy! A special thanks to Scott and Suzanne for helping me with my "overheated"Car, also Suhaila(Big Hugs)for the "Tow". Taya for researching the Phone numbers to call. The Famous Saidi "Stick Dance" is considered one of the most important of all Egyptian Folkloric Dances. "Raks Al Sayya" originated in upper Egypt (Al Said.) I will be teaching the female Cabaret version created by Mahmoud Reda for Theatre. Learn to break down the Saidi rhythm and accompany it with Steps and combinations, for use within an Oriental routine as well as an original choreography to Hossam Ramzy's "Raks Al Assaya".
