Yes, I know. I've been under a rock for some time now. There was a purpose for this as you will see. I haven't been around not because I don't care about all of you but because I've had to re-prioritize a lot in my life. I wasn't planning on going to Burning man like many I know. The theme doesn't thrill me. I haven't put an effort out there to spin or promote or really practice much. Many of the folks that I love being neighbors with aren't going either. I was devoting all my energy to my first trip outside the country, hence my being under a rock. Saving. Plotting. Well I'd feel aweful if I didn't let everyone know my plans. I will be heading to the burn, possibly for the last time(at least for a while, gotta get a break.) The cosmos called to say I've got some unfinished business on the playa(thanks go to Rylie for convincing me to go.) After I get back from unreality, I'll be decompressing in Thailand. No not a BM decomp but my own personal decomp. Never been. Plan is very loose. Intend to get a lot of R n R in. I'll be off for 4 weeks total and loving every minute of it! Not bragging. I've made and will be making sacrifices to pull this together. I'll be checking messages occasionally at 415-830-3522 if you wanna holla. I hope to see you on the playa or sometime this week. Stilldream: This weekend I will be celebrating another rotation around the sun by waking groggy campers at Stilldream (10am on Sat.) I'm very much looking forward to seeing you guys there. I've heard a lot over the years about SD but I still hold a warm place in my heart for the event. Stilldream was one of the very first campouts I attended in the bay and where I first met many of the Ambient Mafia. I have a + 1 for anyone that is interested in it. Yuri's Night I had felt envious of those who made it to Yuri's last year. I heard so many stories about it being such a fun time. I was on a road trip that had starti that night. This year I made it and wow. That was too much fun for words. I had never imagined an event like that on NASA property and it was off the chain. I saw a lot of folks I haven't seen in a while, if only for a minute. There was quite a few pieces from Burning Man out on the tarmac. A lot of geekery and smart peeps involved in the planning, presentations, and execution of this event. I was very impressed. NEWS FLASH: I danced for hours!!! I don't ever dance!!! Yes, I've got some rhyim Tipper, Amon Tobin, Ganucheau vs Toast, John Tejada were the highlights for me. Danced my ass off for all of them. Amon played the glitchiest dubstep midway through his set and actually kept me interested for a little while. Thanks you guys for putting together such an awesome event. I couldn't find one person that did not have a spectacular time. Spin Jam has been through many venues and many incarnations and WoM is proud to host it on Monday the 25th. Musical Monkeys of the Evening: Unagi Cumulous Djeeno When: February 25th. 9pm to Midnight. BT's Daughter Found

BT's Kidnapped Daughter Found Police called off the search for the 3 year old daughter of progressive trance pioneer Brian BT Transeau this week after private investigators and US marshals discovered her a month after she'd gone missing. Ashley Duffy, the estranged partner of BT and mother of Kaia, was held without bail at Lynwood Jail, California, press reports said, and could now face charges of kidnapping. Kaia's discovery came a month after Ms Duffy, who reportedly had joint custody of their child, took off with Kaia after an authorized overnight stay in Silver Springs, prompting US cops to issue a warrant for her arrest. "Kaia was abducted by her non custodial mother, Ashley Duffy, on December 19, 2007. A felony warrant for Kidnapping was issued for the abductor on January 5, 2008," the warrant stated, "Kaia has a birthmark on the right side of her ribcage. Her nickname is Kiki. Ashley has a tattoo on her back. Caution is advised." Despite the warrant's recommendation of caution, Montgomery County police media relations director Lt. Paul Starks told Maryland Community Newspapers last week 'we have no reason to believe that the mother would harm that child'. "However, there's always concern when the whereabouts of a child are not known," he added. The case sparked vicious rumours on the net, including a highly defamatory posting against BT allegedly made by Ms Duffy's mother, and speaking to ABC News this week (before Kaia was found) BT claimed Ms Duffy had been violent to him (though not to Kaia). ABC added that LA police subsequently confirmed that they had been called to the Transeau household on 'domestic assault' call outs though said no charges were ever laid against either parent. The mend There still is a small place inside that is still broken and difficult to reach. Like a engine to a mechanic whose problem can be heard but not seen with the naked eye. It's that last bit of heart that clutches onto what is done, what is known but still hurts beyond what was felt in past tense. I wish to move on eons ago to pretend it doesn't matter anymore nor affect me this present day. I count the days when it will matter no more and the truth will be just a faded memory. Spinjam is an event that I have been involved with in the past when it was held at the Infinite Kaos headquarters in the T.L. Lots of fire performers, hoopers, cart-wheelers, dancers, & freaks come out to practice their skills. They like to hear music while they do so djs come along to provide the soundtrack.
