My world for you

Vampire Dream

   Wed, January 9, 2008 - 8:06 PM
I've been dreaming a lot about vampires lately but I shall tell you of the silly one I had last night. The latest dream was an entire saga that lasted 400 years going through the 1700's and ending in in the year 2100. I slept over 12 hours to get the whole story but I dare not publish the whole of the matter here, just a taste to whet your appetite. A group of 4 vampires settled in a cabin in the snowy Swiss Alps. Year after year, they sucked the blood of commoner and lord alike, swelling the ranks of their conclave with pale skinned night loving blood suckers. As their ranks of followers increased, thus also did the stature of their dwelling, morphing into a decadent winery, a forbidding tower, a dark castle, and eventually the finest futuristic cybernetic vampire goth club skyscraper the world has ever seen. This dance club was so fancy that the main dance floor was made of see through quartz a mile wide suspended over a lake sized aquarium of piranhas and other obtrusive fish. Towards the end of the 22nd century, a rival vampire lord grew jealous of the fancy fine goth dance parties at this establishment (his own vampire dance club in Tokyo was out of fashion) so he sent over a hoard of foaming mouth zombies led by his own vampire officers to raid the building. The master of the defense was well prepared to deal with this onslaught though for he had a secret weapon, a pack of mysterious cards that he scattered across the ground in front of each entry way and at the base of ever stair. If any trespasser set foot upon one of these cards, it would transform into a thick and stanky rug that folded up the interloper into its folds and instantly levitated itself and its occupant to the moon. Needless to say that any occupant carried in such a manner to the moon, did not always make it there in the best of shape. So it turned out that the invasion was a failure and the little dark lovelies were allowed to keep dancing in peace and both they and the piranhas below them were content for a long time there after.

ps I forgot to mention that I saw a few of my fabulous friends in this dream over the years of its course. I dare say I witnessed a lovely piano entertainment piece put on by the Good Wizard Profos at the later end of the 18th century in one of the tower wings. Jay was dancing up a storm in the main hall somewhere around the year 1900, he performed a rather smashing snoopy dance. Last but not least I saw my friend Sarah seated on the side of the piranha enclosure during the final party, wearing a perplexing maroon long sleeved striped shirt where the stripes were made up of very small ball bearings and motors that sent the red stripes traveling in different directions upon her shirt.

:O WOW this dream is awesome. I'm not just saying that because I made a cameo.

Amazing!!!! Please thrill us with another chapter of the story, or write it into a book!! Love reading your dreams and stories. I was able to have great detailed visuals in my mind while reading this.

As an aside: do you know why you might be dreaming of vampires? Is it fun and fancy, or do you feel like something in life is draining you, transforming you, or stealing you away from life?

Probably the only thing that is ever draining me, is my own inner voice saying "Don't follow your ambitions. What is the point of that?" My lesson I am trying to learn lately is to create art and to perform just for the sake of doing so.

Thanks for reading!

Jay?
As in ME?
If so, I am SO very flattered to appear in your sagas,
and I seem to recall you appearing in one of mine as of late,
although the specifics escape me.
It was probably another Jay........

You would be pleased with the inner pyramid sanctum I discovered,
where the rays of the setting sun shone through a narrow chamber on a certain day,
casting mysterious glyphs on the wall.
When I held aloft in the ray a jade shark egg inlaid with moonstone,
The wall opened into a portal who's mouth lay just outside of Jupiter,
where a diamond quite larger than earth shone with the glorious rays of the sun that Jupiter may one day become,
A billion facets gleaming with brilliant white light and all the colors you could ever hope to admire.
Quite a feeling.
"what do you see?"
a voice asked.
I dare not say.
I lied.
"A magic lantern! How nice!"

yay!
dreams are excellent - although my brain kept wanting to read whinery and imagining all these decadent whining goths in a building dedicated to the idea - but that's me for ya! you sound creatively well - hope you are! xx

THOSE PEOPLE
A temple of bitchiness eh? Sounds indeed like a few of the goth clubs I've been to! I dare say some of THOSE PEOPLE take themselves too seriously at time. I'll say it again... THOSE PEOPLE!

Wow J that's pretty. I am going to big thinking of Jupiter's transformation into sun-ness

ps I had another small vampire dream of sorts, this one about a mosquito that was extra dire. Not only would it pierce you and suck your blood like a common pest, it had small crab claws so it would help itself to a gram of your flesh as well.

The Dream Team
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

What a visceral and magical dream space, Shadowspawn! A whimisical period piece indeed. So much time covered in one night! I'm very glad one of my avatars was there to share it with you. I've been taking a break from tribe.net for the last few weeks, but I suppose your dreaming called me back. ;)

Of dreams, one recent episode involved me shaking a black matress and trying desperately to get it clean (there was little bits of food and stuff on it). I was at a boarding school I never attended in my life. I was worried because I knew the dormatory monitors might come in at any minute, and if they found my room was messy, they would punish me for sure. I grabbed my important things which were stored in a backpack and fled from the messy room, leaving the rumpled bed behind. Outside there was a murky bog to my right and some of the staff of the school spotted me and began approaching from the left--waving their arms and shouting. So I began to levitate and hover over the swamp, moving away from the people yelling at me below. Suddenly the Wicked Witch of the West (yes, from The Wizard of OZ!) zipped into view above the swamp. She was very quick on her broom and she whirled around me like a cyclone, causing me to spin out of control. My backpack slipped off and fell into the bog below. I was deeply disappointed and the dark figure of the wicked witch was coming around for a second pass. That's all I can recall from this particular dream... =)

Hope everyone's having a joyful and creative new year!
