So I'm gonna party like it's mah birthday....

So yes, I'm 33 today, an awesome power number in itself, I really feel like things are starting to *happen* for me in many ways, which is good but also difficult to deal with at the same time. I have less time for myself now, but I'm doing the things that I love so that's okay right?

I've been working hard to develop myself personally as well as become a better dancer, and well, it's paying off. Dance-wise, I've come to the conclusion that I can do some really cool slick moves, and do them well, but I never show them for fear someone will think I'm....I don't know what, but I fear whatever it is they might think! Silly I know, but that's part of the human condition it seems.

Learning to deal with that fearful part of myself is going well too, taking chances at being more open, and getting good results, is refreshing. I've spent so much of my life being closed to things because of fear, it's time to get over all that!

With all that in mind, I'm going to dance how I want to dance and express things how I want to express them during my performance at Tribal Cafe next weekend instead of constantly second guessing myself. Let's face it, I really don't know what the audience is going to want to see, I'm an artist and my job is to create art! If people enjoy what I present then that makes me very happy, if not then that's okay too, they have the right to not enjoy something and I shouldn't feel bad for that.

I just feel like I'm on the cusp of a big breakthrough in my dancing, here's to hoping that it's good!
