Basic Belly Dance Level 1: Belly 101! Sorensen Studio Saturday's 11:00AM-12:00PM
Learn the belly basics from the feet up.
Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese plus a little Tribal Fusion.

Beginning Belly Dance Level 2: Basic veil work! Urban Ghawazii studio Monday nights 6:00-7:00PM
Level 2 class takes the basics and includes veil work. Discover the illusive Veil with a true master.
Must have a working knowledge of posture and the basic movements necessary to Middle Eastern dance. We will cover technique, wraps, combo's, history of the veil and improvisation.

Beginning Belly Dance level 2: Sword basics! Urban Ghawazii studio Saturday's 1:00-2:00PM
Yes you can learn Shah's signature sword work!
Beginning blade work starts in April. Dancers must have a working knowledge of posture and the basic movements necessary to Middle Eastern dance. Please bring your prop sword or a cane to learn proper blade handling and presentation. Swords can add another level to your performance when properly executed.

Advanced Level III: Khalleji! Urban Ghawazii Studio Monday's 7:30-8:30PM
*Stage Persona is our first focus. How do you build audience connectivity? How to move your dance beyond "Cabaret" and "Tribal". Learn to Diversify your Performance for any audience.
Spring/Summer session will be Khalleji! Focusing on Khalleji rhythm and performing with the Thobe Nashal from the Saudi Gulf.
We will work on History, Technique, Styling, Combo's, and working in pair's and as a group too.
I have a pattern available to sew your own Thobe or you can purchase one(we are sending another order off this week) or bring a veil as a substitute.(Thobes are the beautiful big dresses used for a woman's social dance from the Arabic Gulf. They are very loose and have embroidered front panels. Often the seams are also decorated. The backs are a bit simpler. A realistic thobe can be made from a sari. With careful cutting the decorated portion can be used for the front panel.)

Park City Continuing education six week session: Beginning Belly Dance or continue on with Level II
Belly Basic's 101 or a continuation into basic's level 2. Boost your self-confidence, increase balance and improve your posture. Middle Eastern Dance includes Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese Modern and Tribal. Instructor Shahravar has danced for over 17 years and is passionate about bringing the musical elegance and drama of belly dance together with a knowledge of muscle structure and bio-mechanics. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a scarf to tie around your hips.
