It's really sad. My whole dance circle (not to mention circle of firends) is breaking up and going off in other directions. And not small, local directions either. San Fransico for one. *sob* They started leaving a few years ago and one by one they have been trickling away. Now it's just me.

I've been thinking about posting on Craigslist or somthing to see if I can meet other local belly dancers and start a new collective (or troupe) but I'm a bit scared. If I start that, what if they are all pyscho and there's all sorts of drama? I was so happy with my little crowd of dancers who I've known for ten years or more...

I guess it's worth a try.

My good friend Diane's belly dance classes at the Santa Fe Community College starts next week.
The beginning class is full but the intermediate class has only 2 people signed up.
The class starts on Monday, June 9 and is on Monday and Thursday at 2:45pm.
It is only about $38. for the 7 week series.
That is 14 classes for $38. for NM residents!!!!!!
What a deal!!!
If you are interested or know of anyone that is, please forward this on.

Diane worked so hard to get an intermediate class at SFCC and we want to keep it going if possible.

Thanks for your support.

Oy vey. Tribe went wonky on me in the middle of the first draft of this blog entry. I knew it must have posted all screwy. It did. It bothered me all day.

So. What I meant to say was that there are more pics of the Super Long Cowrie Fall-Type-Things in my photos.

Well, that's it. Our regular gig is no more (insert pathetic sob here). We had a good run-- just over two years, but it looks like we won't be dancing at The Pyramid anymore. The owner can't justify paying us since business isn't picking up and we can't dance for free, so now begins the search for a new venue. I hate this part.

I've got plans for producing another show so we'll see about that. I found a great venue for a short run show which will be fun.

Sheesh, I got so spoiled being able to dance every week.
