Well, Shimmies for a Cure is over.
In one way I'm sad to see it over, it was a nice distraction during work! ;-)
But, the event was AMAZING! I was so impressed by both the sheer talent (and the GPA!) in the room...so many SMART women in this...

I need a dance name that starts with an S so I can sigh my emails *S like I normally do. I need it to not sound stripperish (the guys at work started jokingly calling me nasty Nastasia. AHHHHH). I also need it to fit me.

...my dad just called from the vets. She had to be put to sleep. I can't stop bawling (which is making typing this very hard!). She was so sweet. But, she had a thyroid problem, and heart problems -- the vet insisted she would not last more than a few weeks and she would be in pain. So, I'd rather see her go, then stay and be in pain just for my sake.
I thought, somehow, at 25 this would be easier...it's not. I love her more than I love most people!

Nastasia (Samantha) is one of the coolest people I know! I am so glad that I have become friends with her! She's kind, caring, open minded and never afraid to speak her mind--Oh, and her sparklies also kick ass!
