Voting- Just the Facts Ma'am.

For anyone who'd like a quick, clear, non-partisan, reputable place to check up on both serious political rhetoric & silly rumor-mongering :

www.politifact.com

Great anytime, but especially in a campaign year. I like their format of using a Kinsey-type scale- the "Truth-O-Meter. The absolute bullshit end of the scale is deemed "liar liar pants on fire." In spite of the giggle-inducing names, really, a very fairly done site that's been around for a few years. If you check out some of their claims for yourself, you'll quickly see how accurate the site is. They also tell us something about the circumstances behind certain votes, etc.

Pass it on... because accurate information that doesn't come from chain e-mails, sound-bites & blogs that don't fact check is POWER, baby.

This year, I'm a yellow dog Democrat (that's someone who would even vote for a yellow dog, if it was running on the Democratic ticket). There's nothing I need to check. But thanks for the tip anyway.

Come to think of it, I'd vote for a yellow dog no matter what party it was running for.
