Donate to Team in Training and support my run!

Hi All,

So, someone said I should blog about my having joined Team In Training (TNT) because they read blogs more than check out posts in tribes. So here goes...

I joined TNT, which raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The money raised not only goes to research, but also helps those who are sick and their families with medical expenses and quality of life. TNT helps its participants (like me) by providing us with all the training, coaching, and support we need to train for and complete our event. My event is the Mayor's Midnight Sun (half) Marathon in Alaska in June!

So, please check out my fund raising website: pages.teamintraining.org/sf/ba...nahan. There, you can donate and also read about my progress and training. I will be making weekly updates, and will post some photos from our various trainings.

So far, it's been a lot of fun. TNT is a dedicated, enthusiastic group of people. We have mentors and coaches and trainers and are supported every step of the way. I've gotten off the couch and into a pair of super comfy running shoes and have been running! And it's been really fun! Just when I think I can't go another step, there's someone cheering me on and telling me I can do it, and next thing I know, I've gone 10 more steps and am still going!

Okay, that's all for now. I'll probably blog some more about it in a few weeks and let you know how my progress is going. And feel free to tell your friends and family about the website and about being able to donate. Every little bit helps. Whether you can or can't donate, you can still check out the site and read about my progress. (I know it's the suckiest economy of late, so if you can't give, no worries. And if LLS is not your thing, no worries. And if you already gave at the office, no worries.)

Shery =)

Here's the link again:

It seems to cut off the http:// part, so if it doesn't work, try adding that to the front of the page. Sigh...

I hope it works! =)
