Black Irises

I've been trying to perfect the idea, the feeling of black irises for a very long time. They absolutely glow.

Most hand dyers avoid black on silk like the plague, but I can't say that I'm one of those people. It's expensive to use and the results can be somewhat iffy.

I mastered black long ago, so there's nothing iffy about this one, but it's a much darker version of what I planned for. Gorgeous reflections of brilliant colors flashing through the darkness ... mmm. Can something be at once brilliant and darkly gothic? Indeed, yes.

Please help me fight the evils of fee-Bay!

Spring Cleaning

I hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend. I'm celebrating spring by cleaning up some odds and ends!

Nothing but blue sky

Beautiful day here with the sun shining and some definite signs of snow melting. I can't tell you how happy that makes me. With the amounts of the white stuff that's accumulated this winter, it will probably take till May to get rid of it all.

If anybody's reading this and you're expecting a reply to an email ... I'm getting to it; I promise. It's been a rather crazy week and I've been swamped by emails left and right.
