Last night Tuesday 5/12/2009 there was a historic meeting at the historic friends Neghighborhood guild located at the corners of 8th Fairmont. This group will meet every Tuesday at 6 pm, until June 17 vote by the SRC the governing board of the School District of Philadelphia, they meet every Wednesday at 4440 N. Board open to the public.

About my voice disorder

One of the most painful things for me is that I love to talk and connect with people, I love music and would love to sing, but I am severely limited by a permanent voice disorder that makes talking difficult, painful, and nearly (and sometimes completely) inaudible. It has made me into a homebody, as I cannot talk to be heard in public spaces without a great deal of effort, stress, and pain.

It is a neurological condition called Spasmodic Dysphonia.

Starting at age 16 in the neighborhood housing authority projects, involved with gang control and summer day camp staff member (Raymond Rosen public housing complex). While a 11th grader at Thomas Edison high School, participated in the city wide walk out protesting for student rights in 1968. My high school has the dubious honor of being the high school with the most casualties then any other high school in the country.
