Dear Friend,
Some leaders in the Democratic Party are playing with fire. They think that they can betray the will of millions of voters--and choose Hillary Clinton as the nominee, regardless of whether or not she is the choice of the voters. We can't let this happen. It would be the largest disenfranchisement in modern history, and it would mean the Democratic Party giving their stamp of approval to a clear and consistent pattern of race-baiting by the Clinton campaign.
If we make our v...

Dear
As the Senate prepares to consider S1300 (FAA Reauthorization), the Aviation Investment and Modernization Act, I write to request that you support final passage of this important legislation and protect Section 313. As an air traffic controller, aviation-safety professional and/or concerned flyer in your state, I also hope that you will oppose any efforts to strip or water down vital provisions designed to help stabilize the deteriorating FAA workforce.
During this time of econo...

Greetings,
We need your help. This election is important for the country and everyone in it. It will have a dramatic affect on our youth and seniors as they feel the energy and will be watching our actions and the results. We must have a fair election and there are groups in the city and nationally that entire role consist of helping with information and recording election day issues, they are kinda like the referee. League of Women Voters of Philadelphia has a history of being on point.

Get out the voter groups make extra cash election day
I don't have a problem with workers getting paid on election day. I have a problem with this (from the original article): Obama's posture confounds neighborhood political leaders sympathetic to his cause. They caution that if the senator from Illinois withholds money that gubernatorial, mayoral and presidential candidates have willingly paid out for decades, there could be defections to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York. And the ...

To Snitch or Not To Snitch
Submitted by Robert Bob Shipman Jr (not verified) on Thu, 04/03/2008 - 1:33pm
This article did not get any acclaim or discussion in the philly area!
I reposted it to a number of other list and no comments were recorded. The actions of most of the activist of color is sickening.
I should know, I am one. There seems to be a mental lapse or maybe those Rizzo and Hover years have taken a there toll. The leadership void is glaring.
The folks with the loude...

To Snitch or Not To Snitch: The View From The Other Side

I decided to write this article in response to the endless criticism that is being directed against the “Stop Snitching” movement by critics claiming that Hip Hop is responsible for the “Stop Snitching” movement and the “Us vs. Them” mentality youth of color have towards law enforcement agencies. As ...

Santa Claus Comes to tha 'hood:
The Ghetto Economics of X-Mass
Min. Paul Scott
Back in the day , every Christmas my pops used to
blast James Brown's song "Santa Claus Come Straight to
the Ghetto" from the speakers of our 8 track stereo.
The kids in the neighborhood would groove to that jam,
all having fond thoughts of the jolly ol' white dude
coming to the 'hood December 24th and slidin' down the
