"Cheraz" - Subtle revolutionary, visionary and healer.
Helping the world code by code and blog by blog, he bridges channels of poetics and left-hemisphere logic. His tendency towards cyborg evolution aside, he remains strongly human and reconfigures Codes using his mortal fingers.
Further, in person he reaches out with his energetic fields and unlocks Grids: opening hearts, unleashing the raw potentiality of dance floor evolution AND inspiring the critical analysis of self and community.
The magic of his Darkness is a unique Light offered unto the hearts of those who know him.
If he had a middle name, his could easily be Honesty.
And even with his mirror for admiring his good looks, he is a humble star up in the sky of humanity.
If his heart was any bigger or softer... well, I can just say... look out world, this is gonna get messy!
A Friend Always -- Shiraz, I bless the gifts you offer the world and I empower you to learn healing for what pains you as you help unlock the secret codes to bliss.

i like closing my eyes and trancing out with an individual like shiraz rocking out next to me.
it's pretty awesome.
July 28, 2007
shiraz is a true bringer of lighte
channeling it in from far away galaxies
to beam at you from across the dance floor
his smile never fails to melt my heart
and put me in the best of moods
i'm honoured to know him
and call him my friend
February 9, 2006
shiraz,
soul brother,
and an instant connection
in this incarnation.
the sweetest of giggles,
most genuine smile,
those de-ja view eyes,
that i've known a long while.
he listens,
he councils.
tru confidante,
tru friend.
all beautiful
all bountiful
so gracious
so real.

Shiraz is one of my most Far-Out friends! i love him!
Shiraz is definately extra-terrestrial! he is a kelidescopic Light Being from the stars! just having a deep conversation with him will show you that!
being with him on the d*floor is like being close to a rod in a lightning storm. he is constantly a vessel for divine energy to download into. you can feel it radiate from his body!
and he has endurance! i remember so many wonderful gatherings and being on the d*floor in the morning dawn (esp at Mile 36) and always seeing my good friend shiraz still dancin with me!
i love to be with him when he channels galactic transmissions, and we've been on many psychedelicious multi-universal explorations together...
if you have the blessing to connect with Shiraz, you will have the opportunity to develop a friendship which will reward you with love, generosity, and mind/spirit expansion...
he's an awesome spiritbrother!
love, Renee

"Pleasant is Shiraz and its incomparable state. Oh lord, preserve it from decline!" - Hafiz
there are repressed faeries in my heart.
they want me to tear my heart open to set them free.
They are my emancipation yet I am their captor.
For me, this feels like blissful agony -- and it characterizes much of this incarnation.

i'm gonna start blogging on evolver and basically move my profile over, and hope you do too. look for me as "shiraz" on evolver.
basically this is my announcement that I'm phasing out of tribe, for real. if you've enjoyed my writings here please consider joining evolver where the community promises to be lively and e...

LISTEN: I am NOT unfaithful to the women I go out with. I am honest and loving, and I treat my partners right. The only difference between me and others is that I blog about the challenges of fidelity and commitment, as opposed to hiding it all under the carpet and pretending to be a good boy. So if you're under some rumour-informed notion that I'm a bad boyfriend then try talking to me about it. OKAY?

This is my last night in the Sayulita hotel room by the sea.
The waves are so loud, their crashing sound amplified through the open window. The noise is both chaotic and calm, stimulating and meditative.
Mexico in general is loud: the trucks blaring their ads, the barking dogs, the intense volume of the music, the roosters in the morning. The general vibe is relaxed but loud -- a mix of good spirit and boisterousness. The music in particular is noteworthy for its surreality. There app...

the waves and the birds work in cycles --
as the spin of the earth,

but also life is spirals. each orbit brings us higher.

I had a proud, fulfilling moment today on my walk home from the beach.
Crossing paths with a middle-aged couple whom I did not know, the man asked.
"I believe I know who you are. Are you the one who wrote the letter to the newspaper?"
of a letter i wrote to the Sooke newspaper about a year ago, which ended up being the firestarter in a successful underdog win to save our access to the beach from the bulldozer.
When I said yes, they applauded! Roundly! Heartfully!
Proudly, I re...

it's so confusing really, when someone tells you how beautiful you are.
the ego feels vindicated for all its hard work -- all that huffing up the chest and puffing up the shoulders. it's too easy to suck it in, get high on yourself... and fall really, really flat.
it's so easy it's like a trick. for how else can you receive such fanfare? some of it, you can see, is other people's egos, coating themselves in your radiance, but most of it, you can feel, is profound, humble respect. inbetwee...

It's a natural reaction -- and certainly a commonplace media reaction at the moment -- to want to give Barack Obama a "chance." Back off those critical comments, people now say. Fair's fair. Give the President-elect a little "breathing space." After all, the election is barely over, he's not even in office, he hasn't had his first 100 days, and already the criticism has begun.
But those who say this don't understand Washington -- or, in the case of various media figures and pundits...

"First, it's sensory and aesthetic," he says. "People experience colors, patterns, intriguing bodily sensations -- what most people think of when they think of the effects of a psychedelic drug. It's not life-transforming, by any means. Beyond that stage, they start dealing with psychodynamic issues -- the sense of self, obstacles, fears. It's very personal." In that stage, people often regress to their childhood and relive emotional episodes with parents, sibling, spouses, and children.

I've been going there for years, but lately they're really ramping up -- massive readership and constant stream of quality news. They're a good example of the internet democratizing the media.
For all mine and others' skepticism, it's rather apparent that we're on the cusp of massive political change.
