Shivati is an awesome dancer, a real professional and a very nice person.
She danced for our New Year's Eve party and was perfect. Everyone loved the dancing and Shivati was early and very professional.
Highly recommended!!!!!!!

What can I sayabout Shivati?
We're bound in the dance, she and I,
Teacher to student, then dancer partner to dance partner,
Friend to friend, sister to sister.
Our paths were one for a while,
but separate they move on.
I can see how Shivati was and I'm sure still is - exotic, ancient, called as surely as if her past lives reached out with both hands and pulled her toward the dance. She's a natural in all ways, and driven as only the young can be. I am proud to have given her the foundation upon which she builds, and joyful that we share the same passion!
Shivati's performances are hypnotic. Her sword dancing is mesmerizing, and she has that ability to draw the audience in with nothing more than her presence.
When you dance in the light of the Goddess it is a gift, and Shivati is definitely gifted.
Blessings and joyful dancing!

I just met Tisa in person today (as of this writing Independence Day weekend, 2005) at the American Music Festival in Harrisburg. Tisa (also known as Shivati when she performs) as a dancer is both skillful and creative...she's not just "calling it in" when she moves to the music. It was entertaining and impressive that she could balance a bowl, and then a sword, on top of her head while undulating, but I have to say that I was most impressed by the fluidity with which she moved. It's like she has an extra (unseen) hinge in her waist, and muscles in her abdomen that I couldn't begin to identify on myself. And she made them all work together so beautifully...
Tisa has a dance partner, Zarienne. She was wonderful as well. Their interaction was actually very touching...You could just see the unspoken communication between the two.
That's all I know about Tisa since I don't know her as a personal friend. Just thought I would give a strong recommendation to anyone who reads this to give her your support and go see her dance when she performs - it is more than worth your time!
Peace...Laura

I've known Tisa about 2 years now. Not only is she one of the most incredible Tribal Dancers I have ever seen. Including Pennsic and various shows/Hafla's she is also one of the great influences I've been fortunate enough to have in my life. I love this girl. T.... I'm always here when you need me.

I've known Tisa since 2001 and I've watched her evolve as a dancer and as a person. Every time she dances on our caravan stage, she becomes more hypnotic and exotic. Her choice of music, skill in performance and taste in costuming continue to amaze me.
As a person, I've watch her overcome every challenge that life throws in her path. She deserves all the good things that life has to offer.
