Got off the Smiths kick, but now I'm back onto Pinback with a vengeance. Pinback is just so good. I know I already sung their praises here once, but some ideas bear repeating, almost like a mantra.

Up until Monday, I only owned their second full-length, Blue Screen Life, but had been indulging heavily in other people's Pinback stash, and finally had to order the Offcell/Some Voices/Summer in Abandon package dealy-o from Absolutely Kosher.

Summer in Abandon is their newest full-length (from 2004), and Offcell and Some Voices are each e.p.'. I, as a rule, don't believe in e.p.'s Just record a fucking album already. But Offcell might, in fact, be the greatest five songs in life, and at least the songs are all over four minutes long. I jones for the song B like its drugs.
