I'm playing Astro Empires at the moment and i must say it is a very nice game. You don't have to install anything at all. Just sign up and you are good to go. The best part is that it is completely free!!!

Though be warned it is addictive :)

There are forums, tribes (called "guilds") --- but you can only be on one at a time, and lots of conversation.

There is even POLITICS (with a game that is world wide based on fighting wars with spacefleets).

The link above is my Ceti server link, I also have one in Alpha, Beta, and Delta. With four servers, and a forum server, it's easy to fill the need to talk about whatever, and some things that words can't express well enough you can do actions (like attack the person who angered you --- by moving your fleets to his planets and blowing things up)

There combines a lot of fun aspects.

Kinda explains why I haven't done much on tribe lately.
