What to write about the past month.... I feel like I've just returned from battle and my wounds are still very tender to the touch. Many expectations backfired and left me emotionally stranded to where I sit here in front of the computer trying to piece it all together. Nothing makes sense anymore, and I find myself wishing I could turn back the clock to 5 months ago before I sent my kids on the plane to Indiana. I dont understand why it all had to work out this way.... Hope is all I have and I carry it close to my heart. Protecting it from my shadow self who is still angry over the circumstances I put my sacred family in. I cant help but feel that in the persuit of my dreams I lost all that I loved. I know its a victim way of looking at things, but that is where my feelings are in this moment. I feel like I failed...miserably.... In time, things will change. And I hold the wish that my hard work and diligence will pay off so that my family is underneath my roof again. I guess I found what was really important. And that is family. Here's to whats real in my world.... My kids!

Busy-ness

So much to do in so little time! When the whatsuponplanetearth.com people were talking about an energy push, they werent kidding! Gotta get the kids packed and ready to fly out on Sunday (not Monday, thanks Vickie ), Look for a job, sort through/get rid of/pack an entire house, spend time with friends, see places I havent seen in the six years I've lived in Oregon, aaaaaaand finish my costume in time for Faerieworlds! Who's idea was it to only give us 24 hrs in a day?????? Top that off with Mercury in retrograde and we have ourselves quite an entertaining display of OMG! If cameras were rolling, we'd have it all (minus the popcorn!) It feels good to be busy though, too much time not doing anything makes my Ego's voice louder somehow. Making lists and taking a lot of deep breathes are what'll help me through this (and a super sweet friend named Michael!). I'm learning that I cant do it ALL alone, and that its okay to ask for help when I am feeling overwhelmed. In the past I would pile so many 'to dos' on my shoulders that the weight would make it hard to accomplish anything. That's how Ego keeps me in a "separate" state of mind. The wiser me understands the oneness state of mind and the importance of assistance, (its not a reflection of flawed character to ask for it). We are all floating in this river together...... Even amidst all the frantic feelings, I'm excited about the direction my path is heading. Everyday I am given another reason why moving was the best choice for us. Surprisingly there are LOTS of earthy/unconventional people in Indiana, way more than I would have guessed. I'm not so overly concerned now about being shunned or looked at as a freak (in a negative way ). Souls everywhere are waking up and tuning in! Yay! Thats an enormous weight off my shoulders! Ahhhhhh....all the better to hug people with.....Hugs! Back to busy-ness! Love you!

I am grateful for.... My Daughter- the wisdom I am learning within each moment helps me become the best mom I can be. My Son - he has taught me how to play and look at life with younger eyes. My Mom - Her support and wisdom makes it easier to navigate my path with clarity and understanding. My Sistar Vickie - Her encouragement and friendship is a guiding star in surpasing fear and thriving in wonders of my dreams. My Sistar Kimmy - Her ability to look at life with humor and her nurturing nature has inspired alot of growth for me in these areas. My Anam Cara Michael - His patience and gentleness heals my heart and soothes my soul. My FWs Family - Their light and deep connection with magick has been an important peace in my evolution. My NW Family - For providing me with a safe & strong foundation to reshape myself upon. It has given me the tools I needed to move in a forward direction. My SW Family - Their love & support gave me strength to step out of my comfort into a vast sea of possibilities. My Online Family - For sharing their stories, thoughts, pictures, and wisdom (& allowing me the space to share mine). My Medicinal Musicians - I would not be where I am today without the rich nourishment in music. The melodies are an active ingrediant in my ascenscion through chrysalization. My Creativity- When I am surrounded in darkness, creativity is the light that guides me through. Immediatly I was drawn to the essence of the Dryad Spirit. At the time it whispered to me in a language I didnt understand and so in my limited thinking I passed it off as amusing entertainment. A month ago I was searching for the clip you see here as a visual example of my silverwillow costume. With new eyes and 8 years worth of wisdom through experience the story began to take shape into deeper meaning.........this is my journey through healing! (a path I've spent the past 9 months working in ernest determination!) The awakening in the cave by my totem spirit (=my dream with Teresita back in June/July). The flight of creative renewal over barren landscaping (=2nd chakra healing and the drawings it inspiried). The dark forces out of no where burning everything (October-January. Money/ lack of consistant employment destroying the very foundation I had built).My totem animal encouraging my wounded heart into rebirth...rising from the ashes ....being carried to to my sacred tree of life...shedding tears along the way, which revive the land...giving me strength to rise above and create a landscaping more beautiful than before! Whew! Upon finishing this visual documentary...reliving every painful/joyful experience, my heart poured out and embraced the gift set before me. The Universe knew all along and even during the darkest hours my totem animal was there...guiding, nurturing...it brings tears to my eyes!! I am truly blessed! Dreams really do come true!

Well, my dear friends, we finally got our home on acreage! :) Its a 100 year old schoolhouse on 2 1/2 acres of land in Perth, Indiana. (more pics in my "dreams' photo album). I really feel like the faeries had a hand in this, there were so many synchronicities weaving throughout this entire experience! For instance, 6 years ago on our move to Oregon I woke up from a dream speaking the name Perth. It wasnt until later that I found out that it was a place in Australia. The funny thing is if you google Anarae you'll find a girl named Anarae who does virtual tours for Perth AU.!! The name came up again several times since then and it wasnt until we came across the schoolhouse that the puzzles began to fit together. This is where we are meant to be! I know many people who think we are crazy leaving Oregon for the Midwest, and you are probably right...we are crazy driven by Divine Spirit! Heart, Body, Mind and Spirit I belive there is a purpose to all of this. One of them (thanks to my lil Aries I am quickly learning the importance of ) is establishing a creative/empowering environment for adolescent girls. I would love to host poetry readings, costumed dance parties, art circles, etc.! A little tribe of girls who's connections to each other are strengthened by a strong balance of trust and encouragement. Honestly, I feel this is part of the reason why I'm the one that is raising Kaeli through the adolescent stage. Every heartbreaking or joyful moment helps us to learn so that we may apply the knowledge to future opportunities and experiences. Its a bumpy road filled with many tears, but its so totally worth it!! Another beautiful perk about this house is the dance studio...or at least that's what it will be when we are done with the space. My dream of becoming a performing artist is one that I hold very close to my heart (and one that I struggle with ego the most). Faerieworlds has been such an amazingly rich soil of growth for me in this area. Designing costumes and dancing in them brings me to a thrilling level of empowerment that I never believed possible. As soon as I am finished with my Silverwillow Dryad costume I plan on making my debut at Saturday Market...weeeeeeeee.....my tummy flips just typing that! Ego aside..that is where my passion lies...and someday...you'll see me dancing at all the festivals....on stage (and my sistar Vicky vending all our beautiful creations!) This feeling of moving forward is Divine. :)...and I am so grateful to all the little faeries who have made our dreams possible. I know we've barely scratched the surface of our potential ....healing circles, pow wows, faerie trails, sacred sisterhood celebrations, festivals, ceremonies, crafts....my love tank runneth over. The dream is now.... Sacred Sisterhood Pledge We are beings of light, who walk a path of healing and honor. We pledge to radiate our gifts so that others may be inspiried to shine. Thank you, Vickie, for capturing the moment and thank you, Venado, for your Divine Presence I am blessed! And though I don’t know exactly how the next few weeks (or months) will be financially, I know that right now, I am blessed. I am rich in everything that matters! My kids are amazing, talented, heart-wise beings, we live in a home that is warm, comforting and safe, we have meals to nourish our bodies everyday (and deserts too!), and dreams that keeps us moving forward..even through life’s challenges. I am so very grateful to be alive in this moment. I know the Universe has plans for the gifts and talents I possess, and somewhere, somehow they will cultivate in an environment that is inspiring and nurturing. Selling my soul in the corporate realm is no longer a suitable option for me. After 10 years it is time take a leap into cleaner waters. I have so many ideas! All I need to do is to make my dreams happen is to create! Create paintings, costumes, movement…moments & memories! Anything that says “Yes, this is what feeds me! I am a warrior determined!”. New Path

So as of Friday I am job hunting again. The Universe decided that working in a hostile environment was not a good fit for me or my creativity. Surprising enough, I was not reactionary. Instead I drove home listening to Venado and asked Goddess what my next move was. I know deep in my heart that there is somewhere I am meant to be.....where my gifts and talents can be cultivated and utilized. So far I have the possibility of working as an admin for a massage therapist (a much better environment than where I was before). I did a card reading on myself yesterday and the first card I pulled was adventure. Yes!!! That is exactly what I am looking for! This new change has also inspiried me to branch out and really put some effort into my own lil projects. I even designed some business cards tailored around costume design, healing art and sacred dance (ego tries to put her two sense in regarding the lack of "training" with the latter, but I'm not listening.) Dancing is what I LOVE doing and some part of me is hopeful that one day I could do this as a profession. Ah...always the dreamer. Still, isnt this the type of energy that 2008 brings? Everything I've read so far encourages us to refer back to what our hearts keep telling us. Well, mine says that I will one day prosper in the dreams that I've shelved for the past 20 years. After dusting them off, I now carry them in my pocket and savor the feelings of hope they bring me. We are all meant to shine, and it's time I start radiating at my fullest potential! New Car!

So, the Goddess works in mysterious ways! Last Friday our family van decided it was time to move on to the world of scrap when the transmission died. We only had her for a year before this happened. Being that Christmas was just a few days before, I really didnt have any money to buy another vehicle or even try to fix this one. After many prayers, we found this lil lady at a dealership. What I love most about this entire experience is that I didnt have to put any money down, my payments are affordable and it is still under warrenty!. (Divine Intervention!) Since it happened on Friday, I was able to spend the weekend looking for another car, AND Goddess made sure that I had a dependable vehicle for the drive to Eugene for my faerie people's new years eve party! It feels good to drive her and is so very honoring for my inner teenage self. I've never owned a vehicle that was less that 12 years old, and this one is only 2! Great gas mileage, a moonroof, and so many other lil perks, I feel so very blessed!! My daughter and I nicknamed her Elvira. (fitting huh?) Add some homemade Kan'Nal stickers and she is part of the family. Thank you, Divine Goddess, for taking care of my family and making sure that our needs are met. We are eternally grateful!

The medicine of my totem animal has been a beautiful blessings during the times of darkness. I didnt realize until recently that she has been my guide since childhood. Starting New

Starting New A Moment Of Choice There are times in our lives that lend themselves to starting something new. The beginning of a new year, finishing school, leaving a job, or changing homes—these all are times that turn our minds to fresh starts. Their advantage is that they bring with them the energy of that event, creating a tide of change around them that we can ride to our next shoreline. But we can choose to start anew anytime. In any moment we can decide that a bad day or a relationship that’s gotten off on the wrong foot can be started again. It is a mental shift that allows us to clean the slate and approach anything with fresh eyes, and we can make that choice at any time. Starting new is most powerful when we focus our attention to what we are choosing to create. Giving all of our attention to the unwanted aspects of our lives allows what we resist to persist. We need to remember to leave enough room in the process of new beginnings to be kind to ourselves, because it takes time to become accustomed to anything new, no matter how much we like it. There is no need to get down on ourselves if we don't reach our new goals instantly. Instead, we acknowledge the forward motion and choose to reset and start again, knowing that with each choice we learn, grow, and move forward. Making the choice to start anew has its own energy—it's a promise made to you. The forward momentum creates a sort of vacuum behind it, pulling toward you all you need to help you continue moving in your chosen direction. Once the journey has begun, it may take unexpected turns, but it never really ends. Like cycles in nature, there are periods of obvious growth and periods of dormancy that signal a time of waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Each time we choose to start anew we dedicate ourselves to becoming the best we are able to be.

Opening The Door

Fighting Against Our Gifts As human beings we often have a tendency to fight against using our natural gifts. Many stories of success start with an individual who is ignoring the call of his or her inborn abilities. There are many possible reasons for this resistance, from fear that the calling will be too difficult to a disbelief in the very work one is being asked to do. We may feel too small, too distracted by other people’s ideas about what we should do, or too uninformed. Whatever the case, the resistance to actualizing ourselves has very concrete consequences, and many of us have been called out of hiding by an illness or a twist of fate that unequivocally dismantled our resistance. In other the words, the universe knocks, and if we don’t answer it knocks louder. For example, if you are meant to be a psychic or a medium, and you aren’t using that gift, you may get headaches. If you are meant to be a healer and are trying to be a lawyer, you may have trouble getting or keeping a job. This doesn’t mean that you can’t still be a lawyer, but perhaps integrating your gifts into your work is what is calling you. On the other hand, you may simply feel an underlying anxiety that you are not on the right path, doing the right thing. Pay attention to this feeling, and ask for guidance from the universe, being open to all its communications, from subtle internal yearnings to powerful dreams. As you begin to risk opening the door to your natural gifts, your life situation may shift in a powerful way. However, you may find that small steps in the right direction, such as taking a class or setting aside one night a week to paint or write, is enough for now. The first step on the journey to our calling in life is to listen to our internal voices and respond to the knocking universe at the door. As we do, the symptoms and anxieties that have haunted us will fade into the background, replaced by opportunities, both big and small, to open the door to what we are truly here to do.

My ship is sinking into corporate oblivion. The paddles that once flowed through jagged insecurities and doubt lay in pieces at my feet. I have only my arms to move me forward to the island ahead. As the waters soak my tattered souls, I raise my hands in prayer pose. The seagulls above drop bits o’ poo , crowning me in regal incompetence. Even a cloak of ineptitude could shelter me from the cold. Ocean liners pass by with celebrations blaring.. No love for the lil boat who tips in their wake…I’ve outgrown the rescue anyway. The water begins to coat my knees while tears of desolation stream as one into relativity. Will I make it to shore? Or become sister to the corals below? Either way, I’ll be free… To be cont....

Shining Through the Clouds

Grumps When we’re in a good mood, we shine like the sun. But if we find ourselves in the presence of a person, or people, in a grumpy mood, it can feel like a dark cloud approaching to dim our radiance and block our positive way of seeing the world. We can remind ourselves that clouds pass, while the sun and stars continue to shine above. Then it’s easier to think of these “grumps” affectionately, knowing that they only have the power to affect our mood if we allow it. With the power of change firmly in our hands, we can choose how to respond to a grumpy person, or a grumbling group of people, with confidence and understanding. Like a lighthouse, we can continue to shine through the darkness, offering our light to help others find their way back to their own. We can send them a silent prayer of peace or a sympathetic smile. We may sense that reaching out to offer a comforting touch or hug can ease their frustrations and cause the clouds to dissipate. If they need understanding, we can sympathize without reinforcing the negativity they may be experiencing by directing their attention someplace more positive. Helping them find the humor in their situation might be appropriate and is a great way to lift spirits, or a logical approach may help them see all the good in the situation, in their lives and in the world. We might find that someone we encounter often seems to be in a perpetual state of gloom. Our tendency in such cases may be to try to avoid them, but instead we can make the choice to offer support that comes from the heart. We may be inspired to ask if they would like some help or to offer suggestions that have helped us in the past. We can include thoughts of their health and happiness in our times of prayer and meditation. When we lend our energy to uplift another in any way, we improve our own lives while making the world a better place for all of us.

Answer me this…. When you are put in an environment where your light threatens certain individuals who may influence authority.... do you shine? Or you dim… only to find yourself not radiating enough to stay in position. I wonder if yet again I am not working in the right environment…. Anyone else have such dealings in the corporate world? What We Are Made Of

Choose Love Love is often presented as the opposite of fear, but true love is not opposite anything. True love is far more powerful than any negative emotions, as it is the environment in which all things arise. Negative emotions are like sharks swimming in the ocean of love. All things beautiful and fearful, ugly and kind, powerful and small, come into existence, do their thing, and disappear within the context of this great ocean. At the same time, they are made of the very love in which they swim and can never be separated. We are made of this love and live our whole lives at one with it, whether we know it or not. It is only the illusion that we are separate from this great love that causes us to believe that choosing anything other than love makes sense or is even possible. In the relative, dualistic world of positive and negative, darkness and light, male and female, we make choices and we learn from them. This is exactly what we are meant to be doing here on earth. Underlying these relative choices, though, is the choice to be conscious of what we are, which is love, or to be unconscious of it. When we choose to be conscious of it, we choose love. We will still exist in the relative world of opposites and choices and cause and effect, and we will need to make our way here, but doing so with an awareness that we are all made of this love will enable us to be more playful, more joyful, more loving and wise, as we make our way. Ultimately, the choices we make will shed light on the love that makes us all one, enabling those who have forgotten to return to the source. This world makes it easy to forget this great love, which is part of why we are here. We are here to remember and, when we forget to remember again, to choose love.

We Are Here to Serve We are living in a time of great change. Many thinkers and seers agree that humanity and the planet Earth are evolving at a quickened pace, and that this evolution will necessarily be severe and seemingly chaotic at times. It is natural for people to react with fear, because these changes will doubtless bring some level of difficulty and loss to many of us. However, it is essential that we all remember that our souls chose to be here at this time and to be part of this process. Every movement in the universe is a movement toward love. This is true even in situations that appear on the surface to be the opposite of loving. Since we chose to be here, we are capable and ready to rise to the challenges in which we find ourselves. It is helpful to reflect on our own lives and make any changes necessary to fully support humanity and the planet into the state of love. When we open our hearts in love instead of closing them in fear, we serve the divine process. We are all powerful spirits who took form at this time in order to serve our fellow humans, our planet, and the universe. As we find ways we can serve, our fear dissipates. We may serve by remaining calm and loving with our children and our families, even as the situation seems dark. We may serve by sending money to people who need financial assistance. We may serve by going out into the world and actively helping to rebuild lives. Regardless of what actions we choose to take, the essential element will be the internal gesture of choosing to remain in love. This is all that is needed. When it is difficult to remain in love, we may always call upon our unseen helpers: the teachers and guides who are always with us. All we need to do is ask and then trust that we are being helped. The guidance we receive is love itself, showing us the way.

1. I'm about as cancer as you can get (Rising, Sun, Mercury) and a survivor of both cervical and ovarian. Woop! 2. I sleep with a cuddly purple elephant lovingly nicknamed Tzol. (my inner child & adolescent luuuuvs him!) 3. The movie Transformers had my son and I in tears. 4. If I had my way, I'd wear my face pretties everywhere I went....even to work. 5. My last name Silverwillow came to me in the dream realm through the spirit of a child. 6. My dream is to one day dance on stage...(and have the confidence to enjoy it!) 7. I absolutely and positively loooooove to swing! 8. In 5 years (or less) I plan on owning my own home on 5+ acres. 9. Ice cream is my guilty pleasure..especially if there are chocolate truffles mixed in! Yum! 10. Cuddles from my kiddies is the fuel that keeps me going everyday. Otherwise I'm a grumpy lump on a log. :)~

Tending The Emotions

Ohhhhh this daily Om couldnt have come at a better time.....Thank you Goddess for affirming my feelings! Having A Breakdown Most of us have had the experience of holding back our emotions for such a long period of time that when they finally come out, we have something resembling a breakdown. For a certain period of time, the overwhelming flood of feelings coursing through our bodies consumes us, and we stop functioning. Often, these outbursts take us by surprise, welling up within us as we drive to or from work, watch a movie, or engage in some otherwise mundane task. We may feel like we do not know what triggered us, or if we do know, it does not make sense of our overpowering emotional response. This is because we are releasing feelings that have accumulated over a long period of time, and whatever inspired the release was just a catalyst for a much larger, much needed catharsis. When we find ourselves in the midst of such an experience, it is important that we allow it to happen, rather than fight it or try to shut down. Wherever we are, we can try to find a private, safe place in which to let our feelings out. If we can not access such a place immediately, we can promise to set aside some time for ourselves at our earliest possible convenience, perhaps taking a day off work. The important thing is that we need to give our emotional system some much-needed attention. It is essential that we allow ourselves to release the pent-up emotions inside ourselves so that they do not create imbalances in our bodies and minds. When you are feeling better, make a plan to find a way to process your emotions more regularly. You can do this by employing a therapist or making a regular date to talk to a trusted friend. Journaling can also be a great way to acknowledge and release your emotions, as can certain forms of meditation. Making room in your life for tending your emotions on a regular basis will keep you healthy, balanced, and ready for life.

Dando a luz la luz (Giving birth to the light)

Current mood: grateful I've spent the past few months with my words carefully monitored by ego...unable to channel the lessons into writings that would accurately portray everything I've learned. Lucky enough she has been kind with my artistic inspirations….and there have been many. Art therapy in itself is just that…therapy. For years I've carried these wounds of my past, sorting through old baggage in order to be a better mom and such. However, I have not progressed nearly as far as when I picked up that pencil for the first time. 17 sketches…and 10 pictures later I have before me a visual documentation of my journey through healing. Music has been a faithful companion and muse, I feel like the melodies are the keys to unlocking to doors of my darkness. Through the music and sketches I've learned more about what each particular spiritual journey has taught me. And within…a light has shown through the darkened moments, guiding me onward. This year has been one of the toughest years I've encountered in my short span here on earth…..the river has been torrid and fierce. However, I see that I am not alone and celebrate the movements we are all taking together. With each crumble of our previous foundations, a newer and stronger foundation is laid. With every idea or belief that lays shattered at our feet, a brighter and more solid thought is born. The biggest lesson I've learned thus far is that my existence is not a complication, now matter what Ego says. My existence is an important part this world & my art a beacon of healing for other survivors and thrivers. My tears are cleansing and my anger a powerful motivator. I am a beautiful being, a dedicated mother, and empowered warrior…..and I am not alone. "There are no coincidences in life…only sequences" Mightly words from a coworker spoken just now. I LOVE it when the Universe playfully peeks into conversations. Letting us know that she is in fact listening…. Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to share their experiences. Let Your will come true in the universe (all that vibrates) just as on earth (that is material and dense). Give us wisdom (understanding, assistance) for our daily need, Detach the fetters of faults that bind us, (karma) like we let go the guilt of others. Let us not be lost in superficial things (materialism, common temptations), but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.
