SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!

<div>I just think this is so awesome that I thought I would share!

Update on Joe Arpaio

Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78
The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his bud get is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.
I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand. He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.
Yup, he was reelected last year with 83% of the vote.
Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a 'Git-R Dun' kind of Sheriff.
TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO

HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF

AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER
THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio (In Arizona) who created the 'Tent City Jail':
He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights Cut off al l but 'G' movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.

Then He Started Chain Gangs For Women So He Wouldn't Get
Sued For Discrimination.

He took away cable TV Until he found out there was A Federal Court Order that Required Cable TV For Jails So He Hooked Up The Cable TV Again Only Let In The Disney Channel And The Weather Channel.

When asked why the weather channel He Replied, So They Will Know How Hot It's Gonna Be While They Are Working
ON My Chain Gangs.

He Cut Off Coffee Since It Has Zero Nutritional Value.

When the inmates complained, he told them, 'This Isn't The Ritz/Carlton.....If You Don't Like It, Don't Come Back.'

He bought Newt Gingrich's lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails.

When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With Temperatures Being Even Hotter Than Usual In Phoenix (116 Degrees Just Set A New Record), the Associated Press Reports:
About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment At The Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued
Pink Boxer Shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached
138 Degrees inside the week before.

Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped
down to their PINK SOCKS.

'It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace,' Said James Zanzot, An Inmate Who Has Lived In The TENTS for 1 year. 'It's Inhumane.'

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: 'It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And Our Soldiers Are Living In Tents Too, And They Have To Wear Full Battle Gear,
But They Didn't Commit Any Crimes,So Shut Your Damned Mouths!'

Way To Go , Sheriff!
Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

If you agree, pass this on. If not, just delete it.

YOU HAVE PROBABLY SEEN THIS BEFORE. I HAVE SEEN PART OF IT BUT NOT ALL OF IT.
Sheriff Joe was just reelected Sheriff in Maricopa County , Arizona .

<div>Is anyone out there? Is this it, is Tribe circling the drain? Yet another long, unexplained outage with that freaking stupid &amp; annoying donut page. People have been leaving Tribe, with less people and the more frequent outages how long before the advertisers follow suit and Tribe is gone for good once and for all?

Dont get me wrong, I am not hoping for it, far from it. I have signed up on the other sites to try and maintain contact should tribe die but the other sites pale in comparison to Tribe IMO but I worry about what management is or isnt doing here</div>

<div>Apparently friends can't have differing opinions, did I miss this memo? After posting a differing opinion on a friends blog this morning I received a note from them saying good bye, quite stunned. I wasnt aware that the purpose of blogs or friendship was to blow sunshine up ones arse apparently though some think it is. I have lived my life by being honest, blunt but tactful apparently that isnt what some like, guess I should do a complete change over immediately............................

perhaps I will just remain true to myself &amp; accept this as a very, very wierd fluke, yes that makes far more sense to me</div>

Teen Shoots Self Without a Gun

   (05-15) 10:36 PDT Lake Luzerne, N.Y. (AP) --

A young man shot himself without using a gun.

Damion M. Mosher, who put bullets in a vise and whacked them with a hammer
to empty the brass shell casings, was hit in the abdomen by one of the
shots, authorities said.

Warren County deputies said they were called to Mosher's home in Lake
Luzerne on Saturday afternoon after one bullet went about a half-inch into
his abdomen. He was treated at Glens Falls Hospital and was released. No
charges were filed.

Mosher, 18, told authorities he was trying to empty the .223-caliber
rounds to collect the brass casings for scrap.

Sheriff Larry Cleveland said about 100 other rounds that Mosher hit had
"fizzled," but one was somehow sent with more force. It was unclear if the
bullet ricocheted or hit him directly.

An employee of an Albany scrap metal company told The Post-Star of Glens
Falls that the business pays $1.70 a pound for scrap brass shell casings.

Cleveland said Mosher's shells amounted to just a few pounds.

Lake Luzerne, at the southeastern edge of the Adirondacks, is 45 miles
north of Albany.

<div>Sorry I just thought this was too funny coming from our liberal Hummer driving governor, I wish I could have heard it live, I am certain that it must have sounded like it came from one of his movies.

Schwarzenegger: Make muscle cars environmentally muscular
Watch Schwarzenegger's comments Thursday.
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations Thursday, California GOP Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger warned politicians about the political consequences of ignoring global warming and not taking measures to curb carbon emissions.

"Your political base will melt away as surely as the polar ice caps -- I can guarantee you of that," Schwarzenegger said. "You will become a political penguin on a smaller and smaller ice flow, drifting out to sea. Goodbye my little friend."

Schwarzenegger has helped pass revolutionary laws in California to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. He signed two laws, one to curb emissions 25 percent by the year 2020 and the other to cut the carbon content in transportation fuel by ten percent.

He explained how get people interested in doing their part to help the environment. He said trying to get people to stop driving gas-guzzling SUVs is a "formula for failure."

"If they make things cool. If they make things sexy and cutting edge," Schwarzenegger said. "We don't have to take away the cars from the people. Instead, what we have to do is make those muscle cars and those SUVs and those hummers environmentally muscular."

<div>The Catholic Church is full of homosexual Pedophiles, this is not news nor is it in dispute by anyone. They have hidden these pedophiles for decades, moving them from one parish to another to avoid scandal which has worked wonderfully for them, it prevented scandal for years but allowed these pedophiles to harm children in several places rather than just one before being stopped.

So now that this all become common accepted knowledge and the victims have taken legal action what does the Church do, besides deny and try to lie their way out of their sins, well the ArchDiocese of San Diego decides to declare bankruptcy to avoid paying more in compensation to the victims. As shameless as this is what is worse, when you thought it couldnt get any worse, now the bankruptcy court has found the Church has been guilyt of fraud to try and hide assets and subvert the bankruptcy proceedings!

These scum are peoples moral leaders and moral compass? This church which aided Nazis and helped them escape the allies during WWII in return for gold and priceless art work stolen from the jews, the same church who sat there and watch concentration camps go up and millions go to their death.

And yes because I happen to enjoy restraining, spanking &amp; lets not forget fucking willing 18 year olds (and older) I am considered immorral by this Church and those who follow its preachings. I think I should wear that as a badge of honor personally.

I despise organized religions &amp; what they have done. </div>

<div>A Note from Peter Acworth of kink.com:

As you know, we have come under a certain amount of heat for buying the Armory to use for movie production.

Despite the fact that the Planning Department agreed to our use prior to the purchase, the Mayor pressured them into holding a public hearing on March 8th 10-12:30 in City Hall, room 416.

This is an ‘informational meeting’ designed to hear community feedback, and there will be no vote. However, in order to prevent the city from attempting to rezone the Armory, It is important that we show up in force and that we outnumber the protestors, so please save the date! We will send out more information nearer the time.

Cheers
Peter

PS please forward this on to any lists that you think might be appropriate, or post it anywhere you think people might see it (tribe.net, myspace pages, etc.).

thinking about friends

<div>So I was thinking earlier, of friends and life. How no one gets through life without help from their friends. I have been blessed with some amazing friends, people who have stood by me in hard times, who trusted me when the chips were done, helped me move, helped me get an apt when I wasnt working, filled my life with joy and who would be there in dark hours as well if I needed them. I consider myself truly blessed.

And thinking this made me think of incredible it is that some people seem blind to how blessed they are by having the friends that they do. I cant imagine being that blind &amp; I must admit when I think of people such as that it pisses me off. Its odd because the older I get the less often I truly get pissed. I was thinking the other day how Ive changed, must be the impending birhday or me being retrospective and looking back at this past year &amp; how good it has been to me both in terms of work and in terms of people coming into my life. I am hitting 40 shortly and I truly feel the best I ever have about me, my life, and those in my life. </div>

<div>Just how many "romance &amp; relationship" tribes I now moderate or seemed to have inherited from people ~ I am not sure I ever would have thought that was necessarily my forte, granted a couple of those tribes are more heavily leaning to towards the less monagamous lifestyle rather than the traditional but then again there is nothing wrong with that now is there? Afterall monogamy isn't for everyone. </div>

    </a>
<div>Funny, odd, I have heard this song countless times. Growing up I didn't care for it and would skip over it every time I played Sgt. Peppers, my parents had the original vinyl of this album, so back in those days skipping wasnt so easy as pressing a button one had to jump up, lift up the stylus, move it carefully to the next track - the old days LOL.

I started listening to it again recently, really listening to the words &amp; now it has joined the ranks of one of my favorite Beatle's tunes, of course that is a very large group of songs! But this one like so many of Johnny Cash's songs moves me, the lyrics touch me. I listen and I see mistakes my Father made, mistakes I made in thinking what was and what wasnt important, I see things differently. Funny what comes with age. Growing up family friends used to say that youth is wasted on the young, not sure that they were right it just takes a few years to truly appreciate it and to come to grips with what life is and all about &amp; by that time of course youth has passed or for some life has passed. I don't miss my youth nor do I feel old, I feel like me for lack of a better description. I feel at peace with who I am and what I am for the most part, life hasn't turned out how I envisioned but my complaints are trivial and my regrets though not as few as I might like are settling into perspective. Do I wish I was 21 again? Nope. Do I wish I had 70 years in front of me now knowing what I do, yes but then again maybe I do have 70 more for all I know.

We were talking
about the space between us all
and people who hide themselves
behind a wall of illusion
never glimpse the truth
then it's far too late
when they pass away

We were talking
about the love we all could share
When we find it
to try our best to hold it there
with our love, with our love
we could save the world
if they only knew

Try to realize it's all within yourself
no one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small
and life flows on within you and without you

We were talking
about the love that's gone so cold
and the people who gain the world
and lose their soul
They don't know, they can't see
Are you one of them

When you've seen beyond yourself
then you may find
peace of mind is waiting there
And the time will come
when you see we're all one
and life flows on within you and without you</div>

<div>or trying to at least....

I don't know what happened. It certainly wasn't a plan on my part. Suddenly I am moderating all these tribes, close to a dozen I think now. Very strange but various tribes that I belong to, that have laid fallow for sometime, have had their moderators just up and dissapear. For whatever reason I have taken the tribes on, in a variety of subjects so no pervy jokes here ;), &amp; am now attempting to ressurect them. If you know me and how I think, which if you are reading this you must know me in some manner and know how I think it some small or large way, then you may (hopefully) like the way I do things in which case you may (again hopefully) wish to join one or more of said tribes or if you are already in them then help me stir things up a bit and get some conversations flowing &amp; in the more social tribes like the SF Bay Area Drinking Group help me stir up some outings since as you know I am all about coming out from behind the MAC and meeting my tribe friends and new tribe friends in the flesh rather than leaving all our interaction to this silicon medium. </div>

&amp; on the same day one friend just up and dissapeared somewhere for some reason?? Always makes me curious I must admit, more curious when it is someone that I have met in real life as opposed to someone I have only emailed with - is that the same with you or are you equally indifferent?</div>
