i seem to be on tribe for the first time in a while, which is good since I moderate a few tribes that I created and was Neglecting them.

well I am here, and I am emerging from a bad depression that was not caused by but was amplified by mr burning man and his minions. I feel better but am still I think on the edge of the woods...I can see beyond them for sure. ready to make art, write, be social etc.

in other news, my gf Jen bought a house in west oakland, a fixer, on saturday, for 215k, and she is very excited. It is a very involved process and with a fixer the fun is just beginning.

I am ready for sleep and suicide girls, not in that order, after I poke around in here a bit. how are you tribesters doing?

also I was able to close my first sale last week at my job, very cool. good stuff to come there....

looking for room or apt.

well, it's that time again, this time due to an impending OMI eviction: I'm looking for a room or apt. At this point I may live with one of my current roommates, another friend, or someone I don't know...I'm looking for something cheap, in the city, hopefully close to bart, the J, N or similar line, and it would be awesome to have space to paint and make sculpture. Cheap to me is $600 or less...I'm not too picky about the area as long as it is in SF. Any interest or ideas, awesome. Thanks!

New York Doll

Just saw "New York Doll" at the Roxie, a new film about Arthur "Killer" Kane and the reunion of the 3 surviving members of the New York Dolls in 2004 at an event organized by Morrisey in London. Focusing on Arthur's path from Doll to drunk to Mormon and his dream to play with his friends again, awesome film.

I saw it with a friend who had lived in the 70s with that scene, had been around Johnny Thunder and babysat his kids when she was 18. It was good to see a film like that with someone who had a connection to that.

I'm going to see "Fire Walk with Me" at the Castro on Friday if anyone is interested. I think it's one of Lynch's better films. Also Vervein is playing at the Rickshaw Stop Thursday night.
