Many states in Australia are set to lift their present moratorium on commercial growing GM foods. While many growing many GM foods has been approved by the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator, and trials of GM crops have taken place, the States' ban has prevented commercial growing of GM food.

One question may relate to making sure consumers have proper choice via labelling.
