Dear God(dess)...

   Tue, November 22, 2005 - 10:12 PM
(to be read slowly, without tone of "attitude", quotes are for emphasis of indepth consideration. this is not stated as fact, but truth as it resonates "here". much of what is expressed here shifts in its perspective/expression to give a feeling of the interchangableness, interconnectedness. doing the best to convey non-linear existence/nonexistence.)

What do I want to tell mySelf?

That any image/thought/belief of mySelf/(you-me)/Life-God(dess) is not truth. Surrendering the impulse to rely on imagery/thought, the believing in the story of life(however that may appear), to "know" anything, truth is revealed. But only if truth, above all else, is really wanted, and for nothing more than to directly know truth. Not hypothetically, theoretically, rationally or mentally extrapolated in any way and with no idea or expectation that truth will get "you" anything.

What informs, sustains, life is not story(definition), but the source of it. Story is not Creator, but the expression of creation, which may effect more creation, but that "power" is not the essential power that makes all expressions/creations possible. Story is the "making sense" of information energy(resonance) and the activity of life(creation). What story attempts to communicate, it all depends on listening, but regardless of "how" resonance is received/perceived the source of resonance is SAME. When importance is given to the story/definitions of life, Source is denied, ignored. If there is an acting out of life from the overall identity of "me"(story), the truth(source) of "we"(story) is veiled.

The potential is to see how this pattern of identification with, belief in, "something"(a definition of a Higher Power or sense of self) polarizes, creates the perception of separation. The many creative expressions of "God(dess)"/Self are beautiful and amazing, but if experiences/expressions are loved more than what they are attempting to express, more than the true source of these, if "my life's path" is seen or felt to be primary reality, more important, then this perpetuates the illusion of separation and of only being "one among many", with those many one's survival mechanisms ruling action, ultimately creating "war". Blind to true Beauty: the unmanifest within all manifestation and that all manifestation is within. Essentially leaving no "inside/outside".

There is the possibility to shift perception from the personally identified, revealing non-identification, revealing living knowingness of...however it may be expressed: unity, oneness, noneness, essence...it does not matter, because it is known that nothing spoken or expressed can accurately convey truth/self, and that all that is being communicated with is truth/self. Then expression/definition is not the primary importance: "I must express myself to be free, to Be.", "my path" is known to never have really existed, revealing that all is the expression of truth/self/life, true freedom and the ability to stop deceiving ourSelf.

Physical freedoms can be altered to, or taken from, the forms of self/life, but essential nature is ever present, is unboundable, not relying on any experience to be. Manifestation is to be "this or that", subject to circumstances. Unmanifest simultaneously is throughout all "things", yet is not any-"thing", not subject to change, uncircumstancial. Self evident.

All paths are in the lanscape of God(dess)...and this landscape too shall pass. What is the reality of "your path", of "you" or "another"? What is present, before all ideas of "presence"?

This beautiful song "Dear God" helps to illustrate the root cause of suffering in seeming separation:

XTC - Dear God
www.youtube.com/watch

Dear God,
Hope you got the letter,
And I pray you can make it better down here.
I don't mean a big reduction in the price of beer,
But all the people that you made in your image,
See them starving on their feet,
'Cause they don't get enough to eat

From God,
I can't believe in you.

Dear God,
sorry to disturb you,
but I feel that I should be heard loud and clear.
We all need a big reduction in amount of tears,
And all the people that you made in your image,
See them fighting in the street,
'Cause they can't make opinions meet,
About God,
I can't believe in you.

Did you make disease, and the diamond blue?
Did you make mankind after we made you?

And the devil too!

Dear God,
Don't know if you noticed,
But your name is on a lot of quotes in this book.
Us crazy humans wrote it, you should take a look,
And all the people that you made in your image,
Still believing that junk is true.
Well I know it ain't and so do you,
Dear God,
I can't believe in,
I don't believe in,

I won't believe in heaven and hell.
No saints, no sinners,
No Devil as well.
No pearly gates, no thorny crown.
You're always letting us humans down.
The wars you bring, the babes you drown.
Those lost at sea and never found,
And it's the same the whole world 'round.
The hurt I see helps to compound,
that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost,
Is just somebody's unholy hoax,
And if you're up there you'll perceive,
That my heart's here upon my sleeve.
If there's one thing I don't believe in...

It's you,
Dear God.

~~~~~~~
This is oviously addressing mainly Christianity/Catholicism, but this paradigm also applies to any system, religious or otherwise, that ascribes to a goal of perfection in the "future" or a Higher Power that supposedly exists "outside" or "apart from" what is inherently inseparable and the essence of all being. To truly address the suffering and tragedy of this world, all hope for perfection, getting circumstances "just right", or waiting for "other" to "do something", must end.
Peace...
May the patterns of war be exposed, may peace be revealed.
You speak in words that I have difficulty expressing. I appreciate your deep search for understanding all as it really is and can express yourself without reservation. What the world needs now are people like you who can cut through to the core yet keep the broader perspective in mind. With more like us, then maybe we have a chance to live peacefully side by side. Namaste and thankyou.
Gratitude...
...for this sharing.
"You speak in words that I have difficulty expressing. I appreciate your deep search for understanding all as it really is and can express yourself without reservation."
Thank you Mohana, I am thankful for this Core that supports and sustains the intention for communication, that inspires and moves this body/mind. The mind still goes through it's "idealizing", wanting to "be" a certain way in the ideas of what "should" happen or not, but awareness Is and there is the ability more and more to not react from these tendancies. And with this more "free flow" of expression. However that may or may not be. :)
"You speak in words that I have difficulty expressing...."
Yes, the image of "I/me" can get in the way. ;) The mind's resistences in fear of projections about what may or may not happen. With the revealing that the image of "I" is not who "we" are, essentially no image at all, "no-thing", there is seeing of the tendancies to en-act Life and the resonance to not, to have thought patterns "get out of the way" so to speak. ;)
Once again, not to say no patterns are enacted, but just less and less to the degree they use to be and some seemingly stopped, but I say seemingly because this body ain't gone yet. :D
"I appreciate your deep search for understanding all as it really is and can express yourself without reservation."
It took simultaneously the willingness to intensely investigate this "I" by really stopping searching for anything, to tell the truth of what is revealed in this stopping, which facilites the openness to relax enough to see more clearly the story of identification. Identy/definition of mind. Which is all grace really, not of "my doing".
"What the world needs now are people like you who can cut through to the core yet keep the broader perspective in mind. With more like us, then maybe we have a chance to live peacefully side by side. Namaste and thankyou."
One of my favorite songs(and memories) that has always broken open my heart since I was 7 and heard it for the first time when my mother brought home Somgs In the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder new from the store saying, "Shane(birth name), you've got to hear this music!", is Love's In Need of Love Today. The wording doesn't fully resonate so much as the intention and Beuaty that shines through...
Awareness is the key and source of all. What is pure awareness not willing to see? Nothing. All being Self, there is nothing to hide from and nothing to hide. If the drama, manifestations, images(imaginings) of life can be put down, let go of, refrained from for just the slightest 'moment', there can be the revealing of what is always here regardless of how Life may appear. Not with the intention to get something for someone, for any idea of what may or may not happen, but just to "see".
Namaste, Skeye
