Sublet My Beautiful, Peaceful Scotts Valley Home/Sanctuary (July-Aug, maybe longer)
( housing » other ) I am looking for a mature, clean, quiet, and responsible (single or couple) who wants to be in the Scotts Valley/Santa Cruz area for 2 months (maybe more). The rent is $1600, which you will pay directly to the landlord's bank account on the first of each month. I will cover all utilities and basic household bills (electricity & gas, cable tv, phone, high-speed internet, firewood, etc.) in exchange for you taking care of the place and my cats… one indoor and two outdoor.
My house is a lovely, peaceful log home sitting next to a creek, with lots of sunlight, gardens, and redwoods nearby. In fact, it's the best of both words in that, while it feels like we live out in the country, we are a mere 5 minutes to the freeway and stores. It's also just a 10 minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz. The house is fully furnished and, in addition to an beautiful living room/dining (which is like a temple space), kitchen, and bathroom... there is one master bedroom with a queen-size bed (the bedroom also has a charming sleeping loft… good for a child), and a small second room which is set up as an office. My home has cable tv, wireless internet, landline phone service, a gas stove… it's heated both by a gas wall heater and wood stove fireplace. There are two small yards, gardens, and a little orchard out front. There are a couple other small homes on the property... that said, this is a very quiet, private, peaceful property.
You can see some pictures of my home at the following URL (more pics to come soon).

If you are interested in subletting my lovely sanctuary in the woods, or if you know someone who might be, please call Michael @ 408 309 0962, or email pooley@earthlink.net.
Blessings & Namaste,

Original Heussenstamm Painting ~ "Heruka / Chakrasamvara" (Modern Thangka-Style Oil Painting)
( for sale » other ) Original Heussenstamm Painting ~ "Heruka / Chakrasamvara"
Modern Thangka-Style Oil Painting
36 1/2 inches x 46 1/2 inches
$1500, plus shipping
This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by the renowned teacher and fourth-generation spiritual artist, Paul Heussenstamm. A modern version of the ancient ”thangka-style” painting, this piece is titled "Heruku" and is a representation of the ancient Tibetan Buddhist deity, who is also known as Chakrasamvara. FYI, another popular spelling is "Heruka." He is depicted in tantric union with his consort, "Krodhesvari."
The painting is hand-framed in a beautiful gold leaf wood frame, and includes the artist's signature on the back of the canvas. I originally commissioned and paid $2500 for this 36 1/2 x 46 1/2 framed painting. It is in impeccable shape. There are no scratches on the frame, and the painted canvas is protected by a UV varnish, applied by the artist himself.
Shipping and/or insurance costs are separate, and are TBD.
For more information, or to purchase please contact Michael at 408 309 0962, or email pooley@earthlink.net. Please DO NOT contact me via tribe, as I hardly ever check messages here.
Here is a good description of the deity Heruka:
kadampa.org/en/buddhism/...a-vajrayogini
Paul Heussenstamm has been sharing his unique gift of helping people discover their Soul through his paintings and "Art As A Spiritual Path" workshops worldwide. Paul has created over 800 unique and spiritual paintings while passionately sharing his artistic capacity to explore and create Sacred Art from many traditions such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity.
You can read Paul's description of his Heruku painting, and more about him, on his "mandalas.com" website, at:

Sublet A Lovely, Peaceful Home By The Creek (June - August)
( housing » other ) We are looking for someone mature, quiet, and responsible (single or couple) to sublet a separate unit on my property, behind my home. The tenant is out of the country, and has decided to stay longer than originally planned. The sublet will be from June 1st through August 31, maybe longer.
Here are the details.
The home is a lovely, peaceful downstairs unit (a single older man lives upstairs) sitting next to a creek, with its own private entrance. The place has a private deck facing the creek and trees… in fact, the view from the main living room looks out over the deck at three very amazing redwood trees. The house is fully furnished (you will occupy the place as is) and it features a cozy living room with plenty of sun (it has a big skylight), a main bedroom (the bedroom closet and dresser are empty for you to use), a smaller room (perhaps as an office), a kitchen, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. The home has cable tv, wireless internet, and is heated both by a gas wall heater and wood-burning stove in the living room. There are two small yards, gardens, and a little orchard out front.
The rent is $1475 (includes utilities) which you will pay directly to the landlord each month, along with a $500 refundable security deposit.
If you are interested in subletting this sweet little home in the woods, or if you know someone who might be, please call Michael @ 408 309 0962, or email pooley@earthlink.net.
Please do NOT message me here on tribe as I do not check messages very often.
Blessings & Namaste,
Michael

Michael embodies an exquisite tantric "marriage" in a human form: he has the essence of Shiva: strong, firm, calm, powerful, wise and radiant ...together with his inner Shakti: soft, gentle, sassy, sweet and sensuous - dance, make love and celebrate the sacredness of every moment in the heart. And his events just reflect that.: Sweet, juicy, reflecting an ancient wisdom and incredibly sacred, illuminating the beauty of your own God/dessnes ...Oh,You just cannot hug him enough! Namaste!

One of the most pivotal and blessed moments of my life, took place the moment I walked into the "Sacred Saturday" monthly gathering in Santa Cruz and met Michael Pooley. What an exquisite and divine spirit!
So pure, loving, kind, compassionate, giving, bright, courageous, honest, fun and so very humble.
I instantly became captivated by his radiant light and the truthfulness and power of his teachings! It was a priviledge to attend his wonderful Osho meditations and beautiful Sacred Circles in San Francisco as well, and witness upclose how much he's willing to sacrifice and abundantly give in order to bring true enlightenment and endless bliss to the world.
Michael, you are precious gift to all of us, a vessel of sacred knowledge, a fountain of infinite unconditional love, a true friend, a brother, a magnificent teacher and an amazing Shiva. I love, respect, admire, honor and thank you inmensely.
Namaste,
Margarita

Michael is a master of creating sacred space, uniting hearts, causing peace, and cultivating our connection to The Divine. He shows up generously in his community, with fullness of Spirit, gently guiding us home; guiding us back to the heavenly abode within each of our beings. He beautifully facilitates our return to the One Love, One Light, One Tribe. Thank you Michael. Namaste.

Michael is an easy favourite. He's got the dance down between intelligence and laughing about all that knowledge, just like Buddha. So he's intelegance. Tha's about how I can sum him up, but who would want to? Keep counting, I say. Michael is intuitive and loving. He knows how to breathe like nobody else, which makes him kind of like a superhero. Anyone who can balance all the different facets and still shine as true as he does is a friend indeed. I'm blessed to know you and work with you. Anyone would be.

In Tibetan Bhuddism, today is considered Guru Rinpoche Day. Also known as Padmasambhava, he was recognized as the 2nd incarnation of Buddha. Buddha Padmasambhava, along with Yeshe Tsogyal (his consort, who was called the "Great Dakini" or "Bliss Queen") founded the Tibetan/Tantric school of Buddhism, and also spread these teachings across India, Bhutan ,and Nepal. Buddha Padmasambhava is also one of the lineage holders and root gurus of SkyDancing Tantra (my spiritual path), and so today we c...

I sit in perfect, poised, presence.
Inside, I am stilled with silence.
Outside, a chorus sings in timeless rejoice: “Allelujah, Allelujah…”
Beautiful Shiloh has received the Blessing of Ancients.
For hours, this room was filled with spirits, deities, entities.
Kali. Durga. Yeshe Tsogyal. Tara(s), Vajravarahi…. so many dakinis and yoginis.
Padmasambhava. Chenrezig. Manjushri, Vajrapani … so many buddhas and yogis.
Now, they have all been honored, acknowledged, and released.

From the beginning of my life,
I have been looking for your face.
But today, I have seen it.
Today, I’ve seen the charm, the beauty,
The unfathomable grace
Of the face that I was looking for.
Today, I have found you.
And those who laughed and scorned me yesterday
Are sorry that they were not looking as I did.
I am bewildered by the magnificence of your beauty
And wish to see you with a hundred eyes.
My heart has burned with passion,
And has searched forever,
For this wondrous bea...

Speak to me, my love! Tell me in words what you sang.
The night is dark. The stars are lost in clouds.
The wind is sighing through the leaves.
I will clasp your head to my bosom; and there in the sweet loneliness murmur on your heart.
I will shut my eyes and listen. I will not look in your face.
When your words are ended, we will sit still and silent.
Only the trees will whisper in the dark.
The night will pale. The day will dawn.
We shall look at each other's eyes and go on diffe...

Pray For Peace...
Pray to whomever you kneel down to:
Jesus nailed to his wooden or plastic cross,
his suffering face bent to kiss you,
Buddha still under the Bo tree in scorching heat,
Adonai, Allah. Raise your arms to Mary
that she may lay her palm on our brows,
to Shekhina, Queen of Heaven and Earth,
to Inanna in her stripped descent.
Then pray to the bus driver who takes you to work.
On the bus, pray for everyone riding that bus,
for everyone riding buses all over t...

Let's step into timeless, spaceless presence
where past and future dissolve into this breath,
this gaze,
this connection of hearts
in which all of time is held.
This touch, as soft as the moonlight
and as deep as the sea,
opens us to realms of spacious, conscious flow...
Streams of exquisite pleasure
that know no bodily boundaries.
Truth sparkles from our eyes
as we move as one in an eternal dance
where giver and receiver disappear
into the ecstatic embrace of absolute ...

When one last breath is all there is left to take…
I offer it unto you in humble servitude.
Where the next unknown step disappears into vast, mysterious emptiness…
I leap with faith into waiting, weightless arms.
As streaming flames of truth dissolve the veils to this soul’s darkest chamber…
I surrender with abandon into the knowing forges of oblivion.
Now. In this single, sublime moment...
May we let go into the embrace of the Beloved.
And let our hearts and bodies melt into the ra...

To go outside, and there perchance to stay
Or to remain within: that is the question:
Whether 'tis better for a cat to suffer
The cuffs and buffets of inclement weather
That Nature rains on those who roam abroad,
Or take a nap upon a scrap of carpet,
And so by dozing melt the solid hours
That clog the clock's bright gears with sullen time
And stall the dinner bell.
To sit, to stare
Outdoors, and by a stare to seem to state
A wish to venture forth without delay,
Then when the por...
