about me
My childhood was spent on a ranch in Colorado, my adulthood has been in New England. I'm ready to relocate and to re-invent myself. With upcoming life changes I'm relooking at my spirituality as I often do, but have always found myself uninspired by Christianity. I love history and its hard to read about all of the horrible things done in the name of Christianity or Christ and not second guess it. My borders have expanded. I'm reaching out and creating my own spiritual path.

Well my husband is using his $600 to pay the credit card bill down from the $2200 we charged on it for his taxes this year.
My $600 is going to pay my utility bills and some of my books for my night classes. I'm ashamed to say that this New En... read more discussion post on Tue, May 6, 2008 - 12:57 PM

Well this thread had me triple checking items I threw in through in my cart yesterday and I found something I had to purchase: Sweet Corn Ice Cream. No HFCS. I had a few bites of it last night. Hubby dug into it, I didn't fight him. lol

First job out of college was doing reservations for a fancy boutique hotel in Boston. I had this British dude, that was drunk or something, trying to convince me that we weren't sold out for Marathon weekend and that we had a room for him for a ba...

Re: Television confessional
(in Raw Wisdom)
I really watch too much TV - my husband doesn't know how to be in the house w/ it off. It drives me nuts, cause I'm bad on my own. When he left for two weeks to Argentina I celebrated w/ turning the TV off and not getting on the internet for 4 day...

On Sunday, May 4, I will be participating in Project Bread's 40th Walk for Hunger. This year's event is an especially important one, and I hope that you will support me! This year, there is a lot to celebrate. For 40 years, caring people from every background, united in the spirit of helping others, have come together to take part in this wonderful tradition to help feed hungry families in their communities. And there is a lot we still need to do. Project Bread's 2007 Statu... read more
So my life thus far has been very conventional, even I admit, boring. I allowed myself to believe the "reality" imposed on me by society. I followed the rules. I guess I still follow them, but I'm working on changing, one step at a time.

After high school I went to college, started working, met a boy, fell in love, had my heart broken, met another boy, fell in love (again), got married and started earnestly planning for "the future." This included plans for a home, plans to start a baby ... read more
It has recently come to my awareness that there are those that live in the past - they are always looking back, unable to recover from a tragic event or loss. They see their past with nostalgia and rose colored glasses. Then there are those that live for the future - squirreling away money, working miserable jobs, telling them that a few years of sacrifice and they will have everything they want. Then there is a small group that lives for the day, in the day. They are always aware of who they...
