Solenne was one of the first to welcome me to the Humboldt Circus. In an initial ritual, we paired off to give mutual backrubs. Yet, let me wax philosophical (i.e., sound older and mature). Solenne has great choreographic talent and, much better, a good sense of what makes a good show. Her poi choreography to music from 'Amelie' will stay with me for a great while. Additionally, she has stepped up to a very important dual-leadership role with the Humboldt Circus in 2005-6, and I have no doubts, qualms or trepidations that she will succeed beyond the imaginings of the many mortals dwelling there.
She will go far.

This girl rules. A sweet, innocent preschool teacher on the one hand - a sultry, Sinful vixen on the other...rowr!
We've known each other for nearly seven years, and have been good friends for, like, three. Solenne taught me how to juggle one fateful night in the Haight (nod overneath), and she let me spin her fire poi my first time lighting up...with Chris and Shea one night in the Panhandle, cars whooshing by on either side. We've had many crazy adventures, and of course many more to come. With her being in school way up there, I don't see anywhere near enough of her, but she comes home to visit regularly, and I go up there a couple times a year to see the circus shows and hang out with the crazy Arcata bunch.

This lady is a sass-a-frass dancer with firey moves that'll make ya go "oooohhh......aahhhhhhh" no matta your state of mind! Check this chick out, she's one of the few out there that actually has her sheyat together!

about me
I am a creative and talented person. I am a circus performer and teacher. I currently teach afterschool classes and sometimes teach juggling and poi. I love to juggle( balls, clubs, torches, hats, contact), spin poi, staff, and flags, hola hoop, do partner acrobatics, acting, and clowning. I started my circus career with the Humboldt Circus which is based out of Humboldt State University. I graduated magna cum laude from Humboldt State University in '06 with a double major in Elementary Education and Theater- specializing in acting. In '06-'07 I did Straight Up Americorps, mentoring youth and helping to facilitate an afterschool art program. I got my Elementary Education and Theater teaching credential from Humboldt State in '08. My goal is to create positive change, inspiration, and education, integrating the circus arts.

Here's a couple adventure highlights to wet your appetite, Aloha, Solenne
Everyday is different. Some days are mellow. For example one day I
woke up and did yoga with Pheonix and Amasa. Then we hung out around
Honokaa, (David, Amasa, Pheonix , and I) picking macadamian nuts,
bananas, and avocados from the yard. We dehydrated the bananas,
cracked the mac nuts and roasted them,juggling intermittently.

Aloha,
My journey so far in Hawaii has been incredible and i have been
accomplishing my intentions. Before leaving i thought it would be nice

I am manifesting my dreams into reality and bam! it's working. I'm setting goals and getting them. I'm going to San Francisco for pride weekend and then I'm going to the rainbow gathering- I posted an ad for a ride Saturday and now I'm on board.
