I feel drawn to tribe to read your posts.
I look forward to your poems. Although I may not comment, they are a highlight that bring to me a swell of emotion and catalyze my thoughts. I love finding your comments on other pages to Angel, Satyr and others. Sharing does good.
Freedom is the beauty of your soul.

This women has more tricks up her sleeve than MARY P, and I'm not kidding. She's loves to create and be active. I love that. There are so many things about this women I love that I don't have the time to list them all. Lately though, her poetry, especially ROCK!

One of the greatest gifts any human being can offer is their true self.
I've known sonic 'bout seven years and my life has not been the same.
I consider this beautiful woman a gift from the GUY upstairs because she is generous, intelligent (and smart--yes, there's a difference!) and one of the best gratitude partners in the universe.
I feel blessed for having witnessed her in 'real' life and watched her shine when others would have crumbled, smile and say healing words when others have acted ugly, and support the underdog when other sat silently.
Together we have cried, been unemployed, faced challenges in relationships, enjoyed many meals and holidays, and even worked through a thesis. When this eloquent, neighbor loving, classy dressing artist with an amazing eye for detail smiles at you, your burdens are lifted. The girl's got skills.

I can feel the blood coming on
like the light to the dawn
like a lemon in the teeth
of a military march
I can taste the rancor in my mouth
like an anchor dragging south
where the water
is much warmer
I can hear the rain pound my roof

The Ghost

A ghost lies in my bed
weaving a trap with its arms
invisible.
It rocks my hips
it steals my seed
transparent.
Our children live in nursery rooms
in dream apartments
empty.
Sometimes it whispers
tickling my cochlea
nothing.

Becoming the World

The moon so huge, we were inside of it and suddenly each curve in the road, the hard fact of Shasta, the drying out lake with its swooning red sides, the singing rocks of Castella all of them existing inside of me and even you, following the road ...

Their masts skewer the fog
halyards slapping tawdry dreams
the hulls carving curved

just to feel the illicit pleasure

about me
I'm the one chatting with strangers on the train platform. Carrying my bike upstairs. Duct taping some wonderful prototype to the handlebars. Photographing Chinatown at midnight. Sitting above Baker Beach in the darkness listening to the fog horn. Fake Tangoing through the streets with my sister. Attempting the real tango. Swimming in the ocean at inappropriate times of year. Wearing a disguise. In that momentary parade. Writing a screenplay in the corner of the cafe for hours.
I want to meet a bunch of creative people, buy a warehouse and convert it into our paradise: think roof garden, metals/wood shops, big common dining area, private living space, close to transit (dog-patch, anyone?), some cool energy/water-saving devices, a big wide sunset-facing porch for afternoon/evening impromptu music-making. This is my ultimate dream. It is my experience that sharing a few resources can allow normal people to live rich existences. Okay, well, extraordinary people of ordinary means. And creative collusion is just so much fun. Single-family detached dwelling is my idea of boredom (although I do own such a dwelling albeit in a really cool neighborhood)...nonetheless, I'd hate to make it all the way through life without fulfilling my warehouse destiny. So if you have similar ideas and are the type to make business happen, please be in touch.

like the light to the dawn
like a lemon in the teeth
of a military march
I can taste the rancor in my mouth
like an anchor dragging south
where the water
is much warmer
I can hear the rain pound my roof
as it's offering proof
of the flood
that's to come
It's a flood that we've long since deserved
of the good we've been served
by the toil that paved
this road
And I know that this year is a fire
burning, left to inspire
all the colors
of blue
If you whisper, the song will tiptoe
and your stored seed will grow
it's a mighty tree
to hew.

I run gigantic hands
across the smooth distances
blowing snow from the rooftops
pulling the hair of the warm grasses
fingers stumbling over each stone
hugging the earth.
As if it were you.
