I must say, I did'nt know what to think, but after getting to know Sonya, I feel very close and comfortable, she's sweet, nice, honest ,and sincere, I must say she is a great person and friend when time in need.

Sonya is one scary beeyatch with a heart of gold. And a cute ass, I must say. *winkwink*

Seriously, Sonya and I have been RL friends for nigh unto ten years now and she is somebody I can count on to be there when I need an ear or a hug, a laugh or a cry, a dose of in-your-face common sense or a helping of utterly bizarre woot-hoot.

She da bestest. :)

Sonya rocks more than her world... but all worlds she's involved in. I treasure her friendship always and am soooo glad she considers me one of hers. She's a great person and very sexy lady.. and she is a lady to her roots. I LOVE YOU my sexy chica:-)

Sonya rawks! Aside from that, she's won the title for "Most Tribes Joined" that I've seen so far! :D

She's one of very few people that are allowed to call me 24/7 with DNS problems. :D

•••I'm still primarily at free-association.net ...we're less than a year old and already have most of the functionality that made Tribe great, plus a few things Tribe never had. That said, I'm really happy to see Mark back and that eye-searing red gone. Congrats on the new UI. Now, about those TOU... sanfrancisco.tribe.net/templa...Code.vm (#2 in particular!) •••

I guess you could say I'm an Amazon-cyber-leather-femme-geek-grrl...

I'm also picky, persnickety, cantankerous, curmudgeonly, opinionated, brazen, blunt, brassy, moody, social-(even-slutty-)yet-introverted, and would do just about anything for my friends and lovers.

I'm ienerally negotiable for the right, warped woman or women. I've done a lot of exploring, but keep finding that it just means I know about more places I *haven't* been, both literally and figuratively.

iBlog

This morning, I had to say goodbye to my companion of the last 18 years, my cat, Aslan

He'd been sick the last few months, but had been responding reasonably well to the treatment my vet had been giving him until just the last couple of days, when he degenerated rapidly.

I got to spend last night and this morning with him, holding him, petting him, and generally doing everything I could to be of comfort to him. I hope this at least helped him to be happy before he died.

For 18 years,... read more

I'm sorry in advance to anyone who takes this blog post as spammy or whatever, but it IS my blog...

I just wanted to remind all my friends on Tribe that Free-Association ( free-association.net ) is still up, running, and a lot more reliable than Tribe's been of late. And, since my co-conspirators and I built the site from the ground up to replicate (and, where possible, even improve on) both the functionality and the "freak-friendliness" and everything we love about Tribe, I can't h... read more

Hi everyone...I don't blog often, I know...but this was too important to miss.

Right now, "your" government is working on figuring out how to implement the Real ID Act of 2005. What is it, you might well ask? Well, the former GOP Congress tacked a rider onto a "must-pass" funding bill (when they couldn't pass it as a standalone bill) which essentially turns your State-issued driver's license or ID into a de facto national ID card which would have many negative implications. But don't just ... read more

Mumgle-grumble, razzafrazzin...thanks Jen. *gives FriendlyJen the Evil Eye™*

Here goes:
1. There's very little about me that "no one else knows" 'cause I talk about everything to just about everyone. I like to call it "external processing." (So, I'll settle for "that not many people here know"...)

2. A physical picture actually exists (framed and at my parents' house) of me being blessed by Pope John Paul II. And this after having reportedly pissed on the priest that baptised me as Ca... read more

A little more than a month ago, I went to Washington DC to tell the attendees of the CFP 2006 ( cfp2006.org ) conference the story of FA's founding thanks to the valiant efforts of our very own Deborah ( people.tribe.net/bca573bf-...d20547647b ). It's good to have well-placed friends...in her case, she's an organizer of CFP and even went so far as to get a Social Networking panel on the schedule for this year, just a few months after our launch.

Now, I'm not goi... read more

A most excellent analysis of John Locke thru the lens of "Cabin Fever" (in LOST - ABC TV) Check it out. It makes many very good points...some of which I've been banging on about for some time, plus many more besides!

Re: Abaddon as the Big Bad Evil (in LOST - ABC TV) @joanna

I like it! Though I would tweak your "axes" just a little bit...

Re: So...what IS Abaddon's deal, anyway? (in LOST - ABC TV) @AlaskaSteven
But who decided that white=light=good and black=dark=evil? People did, and rather arbitrarily, I might add.

"Good" and "evil" are human inventions. Darkness is simply the absence of light and black and white are just colors based... read more

Re: Abaddon as the Big Bad Evil (in LOST - ABC TV) @slinted
<< Richard is to Ben/Locke as Abaddon is to Widmore?>>

It could very well be...that would also make Abaddon into a sort of Darth Maul to Widmore's Emperor Palpatine, in the vernacular of Lindelof-favorite, Star Wars.

Re: So...what IS Abaddon's deal, anyway? (in LOST - ABC TV) @bundt
<<But I do think there is something to the dark vs. light aspect of the show.>>

As I said in my piece for DocArzt, tho, I think that black and white is only the province of games and stories. I've long felt that it was a red herring try... read more
