<div>Here is a quick and dirty video of part of our dress rehearsal we did this week for this Saturday's coming White Show at the Little Red Studio. It's always so helpful to be able to see an act on video when you are working on it. I thought it would be fun to share, as I have tried to explain to various people what kind I performance I do at the Studio. I think this can give an idea of the performance, though it doesn't give away any of the surprises.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9vzbLPvyKQ

Oh, and we kinda had to be bad with the music. The LRS band, Red Delicious, weren't available to help us out with the music on the video. (Key band members missing.) So that's why we went with Henry Connick, Jr's version of "Swinging on a Star." He does a nice job, but Heather, our singer is infinitely better in that her voice matches the feel of our piece so perfectly. For the music alone you should come to the show on Saturday. Hopefully, we will get that music track swapped out soon.

Anatomy 101 for BDSM

Why should you have a deeper understanding of the human body beyond "the knee bone is connected to the leg bone"?

So you don't break your toys! Whether that is someone else, or your own body, this class will help you gain a basic understanding of human anatomy, and some physiological processes, in order in increase safety and enhance enjoyment of BDSM activities. Learn how to palpate various structures such as nerves, exploit the body's weaknesses to further a scene, strategies to distinguish good pain from bad pain, and increase play options. (Translation: Tops, I am going to teach you easy ways to be meaner. Bottoms, I am going to help you recognize potentially problematic circumstances so you can keep playing.) Bring a writing utensil and wear loose clothing.

Instructor: Sophia Sky is a switch who enjoys dynamic scenes that push the edges of conventional play. She has been licensed in the state of Washington as a massage therapist since 1994 and taught for 6 years at a Seattle based, nationally accredited school. Subjects included anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, massage theory, and basic through advanced techniques. After many years in the injury rehabilitation field, Sophia is currently the director of the Little Red Day Spa. In her off time, she performs at Seattle's Little Red Studio where she is always looking for new ways to combine her love of the aerial arts with her fetishes.

The wearing of white between Memorial Day and Labor Day brings up many memories of decades past and societal mores. Summer beach vacations, sprinkled with lavish parties and secret rendezvous, entice us to remember our own days and nights of coming out and to peel off the layers of winter to see what's peeking at us underneath...

In bygone eras of our history and of our lives, we remember that moment when innocence was lost, while so much more was yet to be discovered.

    </a>
										<div>Today!  May 11th from 1-6PM
406 Dexter Avenue N, Seattle, WA 98109
(206) 328-4758

To be so Fortunate:

Most of us wish that we had something we could do in those funny little moments throughout our day. These are the times between this or that when you have the time but not the energy for anything particular. And yet there is that yearning. To be productive! To be creative! For some, it's noodling around on the piano, for others it's, well, cleaning the bathroom.

Many visual artists develop a way of sketching that satisfies this itch. And if they are lucky, this practice becomes a tender intimate relationship with their muse. It's a way of communing with the roots of their artistic source without the burden of producing a "Serious work of art" or fulfilling the terms of a commission or even just lifting the materials and tools that are often more complex and costly. (You may be familiar with Dale Chihuly's ketchup bottle squirts on paper.) And if you are really lucky, this intimacy will become a source of inspiration for new directions and individual pieces in one's main artistic production. And if you are luckier still, these humble explorations may be worth looking at in their own right.

Jeff feels that lucky. For a long time he allowed every guest at LRS to pick one of his works of this nature off the wall or out of a tray as a way of saying thank you for coming and passing along the good fortune. Well, that was back when there were 20 guests on a good night. Now, with 80 or so guests coming almost every week, it just isn't possible.

So, we are having a sale and we are selling them at as reasonable a price as we can. But what are these works? What do they look like?

Jeff will be showing two types of this work in a special show this Sunday from 1-6PM. They will all be small works on paper. They are a cross between landscape and abstraction and they are made with the tools and materials of printers. In fact, they look a lot like prints but they are all one of a kind. Jeff considers these to be the most sophisticated and subtle of his creations. He will also be showing works that are 4"x6" photographs that have been painted over in a similar fashion. Many of the photographs are of LRS troupe members modeling or performing.

All works will be $20 or $40. These are great keep-sakes of LRS and make great gifts.</div>

****I am going to kick off the art-a-thon with a suspended body painting photo shoot!! Yay for collaborations!

Last year we had an amazing time hanging out in our Studio at 750 Harrison Street and creating art over a 24 hour period. We partied, collaborated, performed, ate, drank, danced, and even managed to sleep a little!

This year we're ready to do it all over again! We'll kick things off with a rocking party at 9PM on Saturday night, complete with dance music, entertainment, and merriment. Then at midnight, the focus of the event will shift and we'll go into creativity mode. Anyone and everyone is welcome to stay and participate. There will be a $20 charge for the party, but after midnight the event will be free to all.

On Sunday morning, Chef Kim will provide us with a pancake breakfast at 10AM. Donations will gratefully be accepted to cover the cost of food.

We'll hold a closing ceremony at 7PM on Sunday evening followed by an open gallery sale of much of the art created over the weekend.

The gallery has been cleaned and re-painted and the walls left blank. Jeff will be curating a show of art throughout the event. He wants to include photos, drawings, paintings, sculptures, ass prints whatever. Only "art" that is made during the art-a-thon. The gallery will be open as much as possible throughout the event. Sophie is also thinking that we might have the massage area and kind of quiet lounge feel over there in the gallery throughout the night and day on Sunday.

And most important of all, get your clay, your paint, your film, your tiara and tutu or whatever you need to make art of all kinds ready for this marathon of art making. The idea for this event is based on the idea that the muse of art speaks more freely when the personality of the artist is too tired to get in the way. Let's see what happens!</div>

Please call Jeff at (206)963-0633 if you would like to arrange another time during this weekend to come to the Gallery. (There is also the possibility that he will extend this sale out longer. And he definitely will if you call and make arrangements with him.)

From Jeff's press release:

All kinds of paintings and sculptures from all phases of my career. All sizes and shapes. Everything for $100 or less.

I have a number of paintings that are very fine, but don't fit into the main body of my work. And I can not price them the same way my other work can. There are beautiful pieces.

The sale will go on Friday night when our box office is open and Saturday night too. The again on Sunday from 1PM to 7PM. That is this weekend starting today. Cash, checks and credit cards are all accepted. All money raised from the sale will go to the Little Red Studio.

I have been helping to load paintings to go to the Gallery space and I am going to have a hard time not buying lots of art. The things he is going to be selling for as low as $20 is ridiculous!</div>

    </a>
										<div>The fabulous Jim Duvall and I will be performing bondage aerials at two events in the upcoming weeks. We will be joined by Eileen Fix, reciting original poetry written for our performance, and Shaina Ward Siegel, playing accompaniment on her sexy bowed bass.

The first is Cirque du Noc on Saturday, December 8th at 8pm.

For the kinky and the curious, Cirque du Noc is a carnival of
erotic circus entertainment and fetish ball delights. Whether you are
a hard core fetish fanatic or simply curios, Cirque du Noc has plenty
for you. Enjoy a show with Circus and fetish performance. Dance the
night away to dark, erotic and Industrial sounds at the Fetish
Masquerade Ball. Festivities begin at noon on Saturday with the
opening of the Fetish Bazaar and don't come to an end until 2am that
evening at the completion of the Fetish Ball! (Located at the LRS)

The second is the Little Red Studio's The Black Show on Saturday, Dec. 15th @ 9PM.

Little Red Studio is proud once again to present the Black Show. The Black Show, written by Eric Paulsen (aka. Coyote) and directed by Jeff Hengst is dark in mode like a tragic opera. Throughout the evening the cast, divided between "the gods" and "the humans", struggle to achieve an erotic connection between them that will re-ignite the spark of life, divinity and compassion within.

There will be body painting, dancing and lots of crazy sexy antics like always.

Our no-host wine bar will be provided by Serafina.

We encourage you to come in costume, sexy attire or some kind of creative dress. Of course black or other attire in keeping with the theme would be fun.

Please arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 at our offices and gallery at 406 Dexter Ave. N. and we will escort you over to the main space as we prepare to begin the evening.

LRS Erotic Shorts Review

    </a>
										<div>
I went to the dress rehearsal last night and laughed so hard! All but one of the plays were quite humorous, so it was an incredibly fun evening. Jim and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I highly recommend it for a night out. We both picked out the Play "Limits" as our favourite, though bevsob's play and the one with the 2 superheroes were great, as well. One because it set you up and then went in an unpredictable and interesting direction. The other because it followed the expected trajectory.

Jeff sent this out in an email to the troupe today: "The latest incarnation of the Erotic Shorts is bold right out of the gate. More daring than I imagine Seattle audiences will find anywhere around town. It is also smart and very funny. And then it gets even funnier as the night unfolds. Kerry has put together a sassy and sexy night of outrageously funny short plays."

Doors open at 8:30, with the show starting at 9pm. And with a $20 ticket price, it's a steal. Address is 750 Harrision St. in Seattle. There is a no-host bar provided by Serafina with wine and non-alcoholic beverages. http:www.LittleRedStudioSeattle.com for more info.</div>

<div>Last night I took possession of a pair of fans custom made for my grip. He did a fabulous job. They are stainless steel and weighted so they will always come to rest at "home." All I need is to buy some more wicking and I will be ready to finish them!

Oh, yes. I will be there. I know that I will be doing some modeling and probably a little bit of aerials, at least. Mini spa treatments and massage, too. And other things still simmering and not ready to talk about just yet.

										<div>Just wanting to share.

I want different fans. I need to find a good metal worker in Seattle. Tabasco seems unreachable. Maybe I just have bad/old info and I am too lazy to search.

Can anyone help me out?</div>
