burning man has been around awhile now..when it first started i wanted to attend because i build domes and wanted to network and exchange ideas about this architecture form..Today though it doesnt interest me at all..a great party ,yes ..i do my own dome thing LOL..

It DOES sound rad in so many ways, but there's some fairly serious criticism of Burning Man out there too... I bet on the Rolling Stone website you could find this archival article I read which totally denounced it. All fodder for the ponder...

been 4 times and it gets better for me each year... don't listen to the nay sayers or the "when i went 40 years ago it was soooo much better", belchers... these are the same weirdos who will later tell their kids that when they were young they use to have too walk 10 miles to school - thru snow drifts ten feet high...anywhooooooose, go! have fun - and express yourself.

Burners
I haven't gone either.
What I can't get over is the 9 million different pics everyone has of themselves there...all with the same color sky and flat, white/beige playa. All the pics have made it start to look somewhat boring :) I'm saving my pennies in hopes that I may go next summer. I say 'may go' because money has always been my excuse not to go so with that out of the way, we'll see how I feel about it then. |

It's wonderful to say the least..... I went to my forstone last year and I plan on going to this years onw as well ... good camping trip .. and the food is amazing. the ppl too
