<div>I'm pretty lucky to have the people I do surround me. The kinda people who make life a little sweeter than it really needs to be.

~~Thank You All.~~

Not kiddin'. Thankx for makin' my little hovel a hoppin' little home for the end of one year as the new one strolled in.

As for this haunt? I'll still be keepin' this place warm for the next little while for sure. Still pondering a version 2.0 or something of this page...

Maybe I'll use silly putty.

<div>that tribe expires after 1 hour of "inactivity"? I'm a man who likes to multitask. that means that over an hour of typing and heartfelt crap did not get saved because I didn't click on anything.
AAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!!
I'LL GET BACK TO YOU ALL SOON.

<div>Everywhere around me are the signs of something that should hurt more than it does. It should sting a little. That's the way it works, right? Even a band-aid hurts when you pull it off.
Holes and marks and scratches adorn my walls plainly reminding me of the the life that made its marks here. Nails and screws catch the light, taunting with little shadows on now stark white walls. Little tokens of shared love and memories used to take their place. They've been removed and the walls are open to the air.
Then why doesn't it hurt?
Don't think it's shock. Shock would have worn off by now. All I know is that it's not painful. I think that's a good thing. Time to grow new skin.</div>

<div>I'm typing way too fast for this time of day. It's creeping up to 9:45am &amp; I guess I'm just trying to work the caffiene out of my system so I can sleep. I don't think I could ever wish night shifts on anyone. I'm on day 8 of 10 straight (or is it 9 of 11?) and I can't really remember what it is like to sleep at night anymore.
There used to be a time I would worship the night and the coming of dreams even more than the coming of Santa. I used to get upset when I saw dawn breaking on the horizon. Now I just have to pray ol' Sandman even remembers to come on by. I've missed out on more than just that one relationship though. I did it all for the sake of a lady, too.
(Silly Sparky, where have you wandered?)
But the only one culpable in these parts is yours truly. Talk about havin' to lay in the bed you made for yourself. Come to think of it, I think I sold the bed for a little bit of peace too. Whoops. Guess I'll have to get a new one. A bigger one.

That's OK, I still have a lot more up my sleeve than just an ace.
;-)

Sleep well and dream deeply,

<div>I was beginning to think that I had lost faith in the world and it's abilty to surprise me. -Afraid that maybe the world had nothing in it that could remind me why I still cherish a simple sense of awe and the feeling it gives.
There ARE still those with a pulse. There are not just benign learners. There are still those who create -and not just regurgitate. We may be a part of some massive compost heap, but new things are starting to flourish. New mutations can actually be new beginnings.
(webbed toes = good swimmer?)
I just needed to look further. I needed to expand my backyard to make playtime more fun.
Why didn't I realize it before? I guess I spent too long listening to my criticizm. My inner Ebert should have been a Siskel by now.
This is not to say I have made some great epiphany and I will go and proclaim some damn thing or another on high or some crap.

It just means I think hope might not be ludicrous anymore.

Realism should not have the same weight it does if we are to take it so seriously.

The facts will always be facts. And I may very well always be wrong.
And that just might be perfect for what I need.

The Naming Of Parts

<div>Today we have the naming of parts. Yesterday,
We had daily cleaning. And tomorrow morning,
We shall have what to do after firing. But today,
Today we have naming of parts. Japonica
Glistens like coral in all of the neighboring gardens,
And today we have the naming of parts.

This is the lower sling swivel. And this
Is the upper sling swivel, whose use you will see,
When you are given your slings. And this is the piling swivel, Which in your case you have not got. The branches
Hold in the gadens thier silent, eloquent gestures,
Which in our case we have not got.

This is the safety-catch, which is always released
With an easy flick of the thumb. And please do not let me
See anyone using his finger. You can do it quite easy
If you have any strength in your thumb. The blossoms
Are fragile and motionlesss, never letting anyone see
Any of them using their finger.

As this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this
Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards; we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.

They call it easing the Spring. It is perfectly easy
If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt,
And the breech, and the cocking-piece, and the point of balance,
Which in our case we have not got; and the almond-blossom
Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards,
For today we have naming of parts.

That was by Henry Reed. Always makes me smile. Let me know what you think of Mr. Reed

Well, holy crap I'm blogging.

<div>Here's a first. I hope I get this thing right. -Screw it, I'll treat it as a Journal.
Not sure about the title though. Maybe I should have called it something that doesn't confuse me. Like "Mr. ML Bein' Pretentious" or something. In a weird place. I hope it's a good place to start puking my brain on to this page. I needed a jumping-off point.
Don't worry. I'm not planning on jumping off anything anytime soon. Too much to see on the ground first. I remember starting off here, y'know before lettting myself get sidetracked.
Can't help it sometimes. The sidetracks are usually pretty great. That one was.

Fuck.

I felt that deserved a couple of hard returns.
Wow. That really came out a lot cornier than it felt at first.

I hope you enjoy these inane little ramblings for a spell. If you don't, then just harass me here, and I'll add that little "see more" button or some bullshit. That way it'll take up less space.
Ya big meanie.
Then, do so.
-Just keep me in the loop. I can't stand those fuckers that just flip back and forth from tribe to tribe, endlessly bookmarking things and un-bookmakring things but never actually getting involved in the conversation and always chickening out and hitting "Back" only maybe because I didn't want to put my nudie pics on yet.

Am I drunk?

I sure as hell hope so, because that Litre of paint thinners is goiing to hit any minnnute now.</div>
