Ahhhhhh, Robert....
what to say about Robert?
there's an infinite number of things to say about RevvRob--
after all, his alter (playa) ego is God--and what can you *not* say about God?

Well.....
this version of God is warm and snuggly.
He's self-deprecating to a fault--
and he *always* falls asleep at parties.
(and even on top of Crude Awakenings!
but he can't do that anymore; 'cause they blew it up.)
Did you know that God snores?

I adore Rob because he's deep, intelligent, loyal, and often hysterically funny.
You can look into those deep brown eyes and see eternity.
But if you ask him for advice, just watch it--
he *is* the moderator of the Bad Advice tribe.

This is the kind of guy who picks up random strangers, gifts them tickets, takes them to Mexico, entertains them wildly with occultish wonderment, makes sense of politics and religion, takes said person on the ride of a lifetime then wholeheartedly offers his friendship and laughter without a moment's hesitation. Yes... Rev is a good egg indeed.

Rob is smart, funny & playful. He has a great sense of adventure and loves to explore the unknown and look for new takes on the known. He has excellent taste in music - which is important - and an extensive knowledge of all things esoteric. I just love Robert!

Why Betty Blue is so Great

Besides perhaps the best sex scene ever in a non-adult movie as the opener, Betty Blue is a great movie but one that most people, even those that like it, end up missing the point. It is one of my most favorite movies because it delves so deeply into creative metaphor.
Despite the love story between Betty and Zorg that runs throughout, the movie is not about two people. It is about the masculine and feminine halves of any human being involved in creativity. Betty and Zorg represent these two halves. The opening scene is the first clue. It is easy to miss the Mona Lisa hanging over the bed because of the sex. But the Mona Lisa is there deliberately as a symbolic contrast, a completely different (high) art. Masculine and feminine elements balanced in both acts of creation.
If you watch the rest of the movie with this metaphor in mind you will see how amazingly it all plays out. Cheers. RR.
