recycling CDs
Wed, March 19, 2008 - 11:17 PMIn the United States alone, we go through 2 billion CDs a year.
Between thinking about EnviroWoman's pledge (plasticfree.blogspot.com) to live plastic free for a year and my boggling over the number of CDs I had lying around that were essentially coasters (discs that I had burned data onto & only needed for a couple of uses, AOL trial promo CDs, etc.), I wondered if there were some way to recycle CDs other than using them in various craft projects.
I'm happy to report that I've found several places that will recycle CDs, one of which is near where I live. We've even taken boxes of old VCR cassettes to them for recycling: www.greencitizen.com/
