My doctor died. That's the second time this has happened. I'm beginning to think I'm bad juju for docs. He was the warmest, most caring physician I've ever met. A wonderful person. I'll miss you Henry.

I went to the Park today to pay tribute to Chet Helms. It was a blast - a multi-colored, tie-dyed, head banded, swirling-smoke-wreathed, not too agile, but plenty facile hippie on a trippie kind of sunny afternoon in GG Park happenin'. Lots of poster art, "groovy" smiles and all very well-behaved mellowness. I even had a guy in a blankey poncho siddle up and ask me if I wanted to buy some "chocolate mushrooms, man." What could I say? - I gotta work tomorrow...
