about me
I've been responable for various art related tasks, from being a moderator for goabase, a section of www.isratrance.com 's forum to creating and maintaining my own website ( www.psygarden.be ).

The website features all kinds of visionary and psychedelic artwork. Gathered directly from all involved artists i try to add some more information about each artist so it becomes a learning experience as well as a great source of eye-candy.

The project also embodies a traveling gallery that is shown at festivals and larger indoor events. Featuring artists from all over the world i've already succeed in one of my goals, bringing these people together in a central place, giving all of them the attention they deserve. It has been displayed at Boom festival, and several larger indoor events in Belgium ( Kairoo records 2005 label party and 604 Productions: holographic)

With the project being reborn just weeks ago I find it a challenge to make this project into what it could be, I full scale art exposition being displayed at some of the most respected festivals and parties across Europe.

I received a copy of Welcome to wonderland the other day and was stunned by the amount of work that was put into this dvd release of this event.

It covers the australian bush partie known by the same name 'Wonderland' and the story of someof its visitors and artists. the party footage and interviews are more than interesting and they event made a custom soundtrack for the dvd release.

Rip van Hippy and Tristan share their thoughts among others, and ofcourse it showcases the beautifull d... read more

To many of our frequent visitors it may have seemed as though the constant flow of new additions to the gallery came to a halt. But this is far from the case. I've been spending the past 2 weeks working on the new design for the website (combining this with my new fulltime job). As a result, i've had little time to write news items and respond to all emails I've been getting.

I hope you all enjoy the new look I gave psygarden, and please do visit again soon as now i'll be able to focus on ... read more

As most of you will know i'm hosting an online art gallery ( www.psygarden.be ) which is growing even faster than i could have dreamed about 2.5 months ago when I it's old and dusted engines running again to get the site relaunched. Already we are featuring over 50 Visual Artists from all continents, and more are waiting to be added.

A Shop has been added, now only featuring one of my biggest works, a 150cm panoramic picture of Boom Festival 2004. Soon I hope to feature artwork by Nemo, Ro... read more

www.psygarden.be

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to my website:

www.psygarden.be

Psygarden started out from the idea to give visual artists a platform to promote their work online. Since it’s launch it has grown to an art collective featuring more than 115 visual artists from all continents. This way giving the artists the possibility to display whatever kind of artwork they are creating, withing the psychedelic boundaries. In our online collective you can find many different forms of art: varying from digital art, paintings and backdrops to visuals and 3D constructions.

In our galleries you can find both some of the pioneers of psychedelic art as the newly discovered talent that is growing out of today’s psychedelic community.

Psygarden also features a collection of video samples by various vj's (Nico's Psy-Art, Dr Spook, Glenwizz and more...) and and a huge international partypicture gallery.

Finally there are the exclusive panoramic festival pictures we've been creating for the past 5 years, featuring evens as Voov, Boom, Samothraki and Rhythms of Peace.

Hope to see you there soon!

forum.jpg After quite a bit of work we've been able to replace the entire Forum by a new system!

This offers a LOT of extra functions for you all to play with, and a much nicer experience while browsing it!

I encourage all our users to have a look and share their thoughts! Quite a bit of work has gone into making it work, and i'll be spending the rest of my time on making it look finger-licking good.

I hope this makes the forum more alive than it has been before, and with the help of our 1200 users i doubt that should be a problem

Kind regards,

Rik

We want to let all the belgians know that Chris Dyer is visiting Ghent for some time! You can go see his artwork the ARtifex gallery !

"Chris is a soul on a quest for new conciousnesses through meditation, pyisical travelling and natural drug experimentations. A medium of the Most High who opens his vessel and tries to let go of the temporary ego and complications of his mind.

He grew up in Lima, Peru till the age of 17 where he engaged in such activities as surfing, skateboarding, soccer fanatism (that lead him to many adventures with his ex-street gang), etc. Now he lives in Montreal where he continues his journey to become himself, on a more peacefull vibe. Art has always been a constant since a man like him cannot be happy without expression sweating through his pours. This is also his tool to contribute in the raising of humanity"

It has been a year since we started this Quantic dream and now is the right time to give voice to the artists who have been performing and spreading their music ansd passion. We're an independent label, a colective, a group of friends, musicians, free and passionate people and we believe we are giving an important step to our small "seashore planted movement".

There is a growing alternative culture and an ambient scene in Portugal, and this work is also the outcome of years of dedication from this scene. The Portuguese ambient movement expands from North to South of Portugal and goes way beyhond borders, from parties in the woods to Tuatara sessions, from BOOM Festival to Brasil, UK, Mexico. This has been our passion and our way of live!

This compilation is solely played by Portuguese artists.

Smiles, Gil
