More than junk mail

I hate packing peanuts. Their only redeeming feature is that it amuses me that my mother packs books in them.

christmas eve finds me

working, after eating with friends and family. realizing that friendships lasting over decades go through good and bad times, but feel like family. That love is more who we are than what we do- that when we are loving we will act in a loving way.

Staying up all night playing music- haven't done that in awhile. Work the next day sucked, but worth it. Getting to Give my son the ipod I had planned on buying for myself. He will enjoy it more than I would have anyway.

When this night is stripped of all its layers of expectation and need, it's essence becomes this- the night is long... and in the long night we reach out and hold the hands of those we love.
