The Diary of a Mad Man

Kitty Kat in Desperate Need

   Fri, August 26, 2005 - 10:37 PM
My friends, sadly the cat that I have fathered for over 6 years now has had an awful summer of displacement. When me and Melissa moved from Northampton to Boston, Ashe was not able to live with me in my new home where I had planned on staying for a short while, but that has transformed into a much longer stay then anticipated. His caretakers Eartha and Steve have honorably and dutifully been wonderful and loving to him over the last two months, but are now transitioning themselves into a new home which will not have a place for Ashe. It will be a few months yet before I am financially together enough to move from where I live now into a home where Ashe will be re-united with me, and so I am putting out to the community that I am seeking a new temporary home for him during that time so that I don't have to bring him to a shelter, which would be mortifying to me. I've asked many people individually over the last month, but as of yet, I still have not found a place for him to stay, and now as the end of the month quickly approaches, I am near to desperate. He has a very wonderful and unique personality, a soft meow, and a loving heart. He does shed, long white hairs, so whoever might consider this should be aware of that beforehand. He is nutered and very good about his litter box. He gets along well with other cats once they are used to him being around. I would be happy to supply food and litter, if any of you would be willing to give him a home over the next few months. Or even the next couple of weeks to give me more time to find a more semi-permanent home for him. Please contact me if you have any willingness to help me in this way, or want any more information. Meow?

I would if I could...my room-mates are allergic to cats!

Sending love,

Have you found a place yet? I just now saw this post, and it's already September. Let me know if you're still desperate, and I'll talk to Henry about having her here for awhile. If we agree that it's okay, she could stay either in our house or in our spare room (while it remains unoccupied). I would hate for you to lose another cat! :-(

I will
If Julie can't, your cat can stay with me. It would have to be able to tolerate me being away up to 24hrs at a time. If you are looking for permanant placement, I may be able to help also.
