<div>sooo last night someone came up and told me i am UNapproachable...i was shocked as i have made a conscious effort to talk to or collaborate with absolutely anyone that shows the slightest interest and even some that show absolutely no interest at all...so i feel compelled to say that the usually the first reason a person is UNAPPROACHABLE is because you are not APPROACHING them...and i for one am ever so willing to be called on my shit and i am willing to own it as well...i am willing to own this one as well and at the moment i must say it does not resonate with me and i am open to dialog...</div>

										<div>i see all the poems and the beautiful well wishes for our friend heidi and while i appreciate and honor each of our pathways to acceptance i also and sometimes more appreciate a little screaming, yelling and cussing...why not throw some plates break some glasses or better yet a TV make some noise and be pissed off!!!! you have a right (actually a duty really) to be ugly and messy with freinds, to give everything just because you can knowing that we have each others back especially in such a large forum...we can share the weight and pain together...that is what community is all about! it is not about looking pretty and being sweet and loveable it is about being real, full raw and sometimes very messy...I FEEL GOD DAMN FUCKING MESSY...I AM GOING TO BREAK SHIT AND SCREAM AND RELEASE MY FURY ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL LIFE BEING TAKEN FROM US!!! all the fuzzy metaphysics aside i need to release to make space for a true acceptance and i am asking you to join me in getting messy for a moment......let's have good scream for heidi...she is missed</div>

NO MORE FASHION SHOWS FOR BAD UNKL SISTA

    </a>
										<div>Just a heads up....Bad Unkl Sista will not be doing any more fashion shows...after feb 9th...if you have not seen one and want to catch one, the last ones are Jan. 17th 18th and 19th at the crucible (www.thecrucible.org) and feb. 9th at the eternal spring event (www.eternalspring08.com)...i have calculated that i have donated over $8000.00 in time and money last year and i cannot afford to do it anymore. i realize producers believe that my name on a flyer will just magically bring money in the form of clients and and that is ample payment for donating my time and energy....sadly that has not happened yet...the only thing that does happen is that i get more offers to donate my energy to other events for free...call me one taco short of a combination plate if you would like but it just does not add up no matter how i look at it...my heart is so sad...i love to share my work in that way but alas...in this next year i will produce an event that is a bad unkl sista showcase in which i will show at least 50 pieces in the form of a two hour performance event that will pay myself and all the artists that participate...i will not ask anyone to donate their time and energy....i will not rest until there is balance and respect for every contribution no matter what it is....thank you again for a momment of your attention...
with warmth and deep respect,

    </a>
										<div>yes i realize this will stir some of you up...my intentions are not malicious...and my heart is suffering...as you may or may not know i am a local clothing/costume designer and i handmake all my clothing...i work everyday...sometimes 3 days in a row without sleeping to produce one of a kind couture clothing and costumes...i offer b-day gift certificates to all my freinds and clients (when i know of their b-day), i take payment plans and discount my pieces so people can afford to buy my work, i open my studio at a moment's notice to be available, i promote and collaborate with other designers, and i offer a $50 credit for every model that works with me, i host trunk shows and invite bali designers...it is my belief that we should all support one another...i show up at trunk shows that i have to fight to get into and i am one of a small handfull of local designers that make their own gear with the rest being bali designers that do not recognize me as a designer or invite me to participate (with the exception of eve ladyapples and rachel minerva) in thier shows and are selling product for much less than i can sell for because of all my time that goes into each piece...even though i bend over backwards to make my work accessable, my friends and models are buying bali cause it is cheaper...in saying this i do not mean to diss all of the talented and beautiful work that the bali designers are offering or saying that people should buy bad unkl before bali... i only want to raise the awareness that we should all be supporting each other...let's all move up together...at this moment i am on the fence of giving up and pushing through...my heart is a little sore...i do not mean to hurt anyone's feelings only to raise awareness and ask for more balance...i feel like a small coffe shop right now...i am open to the fact that it may be me that needs to reach out more as well...i am open to being wrong and advice on seeing it differently...i am sitting at my machine and unable to sew and it hurts my spirit....

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/stazia/blog/d5cdea78-3cf8-496d-9b4d-4ebcc3d4d694">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/516/d91/516d916f-143c-4397-a4e3-f2901f20fb15.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>so where to begin...as one who does not usually blog, play tag, or circulate the "chain letter" e-mails i find myself in a place of the dreaded "shoulds"....should i or should i not...that is the question of the moment....there are so many words out there do i really need to add my two cents? and as i say this anyone who knows me, knows i will add my two cents at the drop of a hat...but to pummle you all with my personal belief systems without your eyeballs to look at when i spill forth? so difficult for me,.. as what i need to say concerns that of community and uncovering ourselves just because we can....is this a way of uncovering or is it a way of not having to really take responsibility because i am not speaking person to person? in a way it breaks my heart a little to uncover and sit "naked" to a commputer...

soooo onward already...

i have been to most of the festivals this summer as well as b-man and many SF parties and very few of them have resulted in a sense of "togetherness and community"...in saying this i am not expecting for others to create my reality for me and take full responsibility for my part of fostering or halting the realization proccess of "community"...with that said....i hear a lot of these buzzwords in circulation, i realize this is not a new and edge topic of which i speak and that it is still and probably will always be a relevent topic. i am somewhat worn out by the amount of work it takes to get past the superficial outer layers of protection we have all had to adopt in order to exist...and it is from this wearyness of being from which i speak now...

one of the things that has come up for me is about the festivals i have attended in the last few years is the seperation of the people or "tribes" (not so sure if that is the word i want to use but alas) the existance of so many stages and everything happening at once that a person has to pick and choose one amazing happening over another instead of a central stage where there is a concentrated group mind of all (or most) of the people "gathering together"....(yes i know it sounds very "hippie"...but let's be open and look a little deeper)....one of the problems i have with television is the constant bombardment with so many choices and so many things happening at once...(i haven't had a tv for 14 years because of that reason and i assume it has only gotten worse since then).....also just as with billboards, advertisements in magazines, internet, junk mail....the list goes on of the things that are supposed to keep us busy enough that we do not notice what is going on around us....seperate the masses and they cannot rise....i feel the festivals are only mimicking the micro of the macro...it seems more of a program we are set up to follow rather than a radical "meeting" of minds....i hear and understand the beauty of showcasing as much talent as possible as there is so much amazing talented beings on the planet at this time and i am wondering about experiencing each other in a fuller sense of support and attention to a group mind happening rather than a distracted one that is wondering.."what am i missing by being at this stage over the other ones..should i go check it out...oh i don't know maybe i liked the other stage better"...anyway you can fill in the blanks with whatever chatter happens for you...my point is obviously what is wrong with one stage one group? maybe the work load would be less and the communication easier as everything is at one location? maybe if the work load is little less than maintaining several stages so would the funds to put the festival on and there could be more festivals each with DIFFERENT amazing talent instead of many of the SAME PERFORMERS going from one festival to the next each competing to be on the best stage....(i believe ther is a lot more room on the rock star list) oh yes i realize the whole can of worms about the best time slots but what if all the camping was close enough to hear what is happening...what if everything is happening all in the same general area and if there was a concentrated effort to facilitate a group gathering...i am not saying that this has not been the intentions of these festivals, i am only saying for myself it is not working...i realize there are always exceptions to everything i have stated and these are my musings...

just to clearify i am not speaking out of my ass about some dream festival with no experience in my personal life for comparison...i have been directly involved with the production of a free non-profit 2-day performance festival in arizona for 6 years, with 4 as a performer and two of those years as program director, which consisted of hiring the performers, paying them, setting up the performance sced on the main stage as well as the chidren's stage, housing and feeding the performers, stage managing and the list goes on....this is part of the reason these festival issues are coming up for me...we had one stage and a children's stage (only for a few hours during the daytime)...and at critical mass we had 6000 people attending all at one space with a combined energy and attention level....this festival happened in the middle of the town square and is not like a camping venue but i am still wondering....what if.....

so in saying all this i am also following the thread of how large group experiences can bring groups together for a collaborative heart-opening experiences (like the temple burn at b-man for intance) and how much more likely it is for authentic connections with other humans that would hopefully feed and nourish our beings after the summer is over rather than feel like it is time to go into hibernation in order to procces it all....i am aware there are many holes in my plan for world domination through really good "community" festivals and i am throwing it out there anyway....please feel free to chew it up and spit it out if you find it neccessary....thanks for for being a part of the community i want to gather with....

warmth to you,

We are that aspect of Earthlife maturing, Earthlife preparing to fall away from the parent world. We are Earthlife preparing to take root in new ground, Earthlife fulfilling its purpose, its promise, its destiny.</div>

<div>I have never wanted to go to LA...it's big, dirty, too much traffic,... i went for New Years Eve kind of by acciednt and i cried when i had to leave...i am sorry LA for not believing in what you have to offer...i was able to dance and communicate with truly exhaulted beings...it, for sure, was not pretty at every moment and at a few a little scary, which made it that much more magical. Thank you for the raw, open, ripping and real love transmissions i recieved and was able to give...you taught me a lesson in respect that i hope everyone is able to recieve in this life... </div>

										<div>about revealing...taking off the masks...scraping the flessh fom the bones and offering the heart on a silver platter...it doesnt' have to be scary or ugly to do so, nor does it have to be pretty...i am feeling tired...if we have to work so hard to know others then we also have work that hard to know ourselves...it seems that we might want to make it a little easier on all of us and reveal ourselves to one another without all the games...

in this moment i am committing myself to this.</div>
