Fly into Boston Monday am, from Logan take water taxi to Provincetown fast ferry, to be with close family. Should be a fabulous time, although probably too early for wild blueberries, or rosehips this year. Who knows what we'll find though, possibly wild plums? Will be back July 1st. Then just five days before Willie Nelson!!

ok, since it has been almost a full year since i posted, I am posting now. RawSpirit Festival coming up in October. Much sooner, Oregon Country Fair, yeah! Richard Hemsley and the Sun Kitchen will be there, and some of us raw vegan-friendly types will be camped at Darling's Reunion. That will be amazing. Also going to catch Willie Nelson, July 6th at Cuthbert in Eugene!! Will head to Terwilliger later that night or the next day.

August 21-23 Monday-Wednesday, Laura Fox's Anchor the Dream Workshop. Love donation requested but not required (there aren't $$s enough anywhere to pay what she is worth anyway, but please bring your self and open mind and heart, at least). August 24-26+ Backpacking trek, probably into Indian Heaven Wilderness. Return date dependent on group. Some may choose to stay at base camp to hold space for music, prayer, and huckleberry picking. August 27? - September 4 We might stay or go from the fields. Might migrate to any number of locales including Olympic peninsula, Breitenbush, Burning Man, or the Raw Spirit retreat in Oregon: August 30-September 2 (see www.rawspirit.net ). ANCHOR THE DREAM DETAILS: We will be working together to find new, fun techniques to pool our energies together to actually create the future world in which we desire to THRIVE. To find out more and to be prepared for what is to come, please call Laura Fox about this, her contact info can be found here: www.anchorthedream.com/ Love donations are being accepted, before, during or toward the end of the workshop. You may come for just one day if you would love to, or any number of days. Its always worthwhile to be in this woman's presence. LOCATION OF BASE CAMP: From Portland, head east to Hood River, then north to Trout Lake, and follow 141 north and map below to Cultus Creek Campground: $5/day, or $10/day if two vehicles. 6 person/max campsite. Advisable to check in at the Mt Adams Ranger station nearby, and check for messages from Huckleberry Heaven group or StephenStar. We may also choose to do rustic camping in the berry fields themselves, but there will be at least one base camp, and that's where we can be found. Check for weighted down paper with messages, in case we aren't there. If you like, set up camp, and/or check the Sawtooth Berry fields and feel out our vibe. www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/04maps...inity_05.pdf (on map, look for Mt Adams Ranger Station, lower right, or Cowlitz -- then look for Cultus Creek campground) CONCEPT: Eating purple berries, preferably nothing else, while gazing at Mt Adams and experiencing God in community. Creating a better universe through loving intention. Group Enlightenment, grounded in reality, extending to all people and all beings. What we've all been waiting for! Bliss beyond compare. Every sorrow left behind. God within. God without. Beneath our feet. In the air. In our minds, wind in our hair. Surrender to the One Heart and create Paradise Everywhere. Other questions? Send me a tribe message or better, email me if you know it. First four letters of "Steve", WITHOUT the second "e", followed by 177 and yahooooo! you know the rest.
See the foxy lady above? She and I will be creating the next wave, along with your highest self, in the Sawtooth Berry fields, in just a few weeks, August 21-23. Fasting on huckleberries, we reconnect to the mountain. Come here expecting miracles, beyond your wildest dreams. Releasing all past sorrows, we create new joys, new worlds of bliss, peace, and gentle strength. Anchoring that dream, we begin again. Getting it right this time, we climb.

I, and I, your magical, leprechaunesque, Br'er Rabbit, Huck Finn, Burning Sun, StephenStar, return after sixteen years to the land of my first true awakening. I am opening my heart, my sacred kingdom, to those blessed and brave enough to show up and ride the wave. This is a Community Adventure Invitation. Many of us will be staying well beyond the 23rd of August. TO LEAVE BEHIND: Firearms. Beastliness. Meat. Weird, glow in the dark food. The intention is for us all to be fasting on wild huckleberries, and other foraged foods, primarily. C'mon, it won't kill you, and it could take you to God. If needed, organic produce may be purchased in Hood River and brought up in coolers. I suggest that cooking of food be kept to no more than hot teas; it really isn't necessary, and if you get really desperate, you can drive down to Trout Lake for dinner, or to Hood River. There may be some vegan cuisine happening, especially toward end of gathering phases; these will come on their own.
Magical day. Slept in late, then got my things together and started driving out to Snoqualmie pass for one last snowboarding attempt. It was raining fairly heavily on the way out, and then the clouds began to part and the sun was creating amazing magical light shows, teasingly revealing the mountains in their beauteous splendour.

Arrived at Alpental, and ended up taking a private lesson, snowboarding...and...I got it!! I can actually snowboard now. We went up the beginners lift three times at least, and just had a blast. My instructor, Tristan, was excellent, helpful and friendly. What a rush! My last experience had involved a painful wrist injury and literally months of recuperation. Now I know I can handle any reasonable easy slope, which was all I had set out to do. It really feels good to, and helps one work on balance and self awareness...you really have to control your hips, so I think its good for my dancing too, as well as yoga...encourages "Fierce Pose" for heelside. All during our snowboarding, the sun, clouds, and sky were presenting the most amazing and complex symphony of colors and moods....JUST the right amount of sun to keep us warm and happy but not blinded, sunburned, or overheated...and get this....at various intervals it was snowing!! Beautiful, tiny flakes, and again, not so often as to be obnoxious, just enough to be refreshing and celebrational....better even than snow on Christmas! Driving back to Seattle, the ever changing symphony continued, with bouts of rain and sun, and I just felt in tune with the whole world, was just feeling Love for everything and everyone, and so much Gratitude. On the way I was listening to Erinn Williams' CD (had caught her act at Cafe Bella friday night and actually 'won' the CD by guessing one of the song titles), and it was just piercing me to the core, her musicality, amazing and slightly edgy soprano...perfect music with the interplay of sun and clouds. Stopped in to Ravenna Alehouse on my way to the Tummy Temple, and had one perfect pint of Deschutes IPA....wow, at first I wasn't impressed, but it grew on me exponentially until by the time I reached the final third I was singing its praises to anyone who would listen...a very convivial atmosphere there, too, without being trendy...this might be my current pub fav in Seattle, just for the atmosphere, friendliness, and crowd. You can sit outside, too, which is nice. After that, I did some brief sungazing (yes, the sun favored to come through the clouds during its last 30 minutes before setting) and again had another surge of that ol' Love & Gratitude. Then went to Tummy Temple and had an amazingly wonderful colonic, Melissa the therapist. And so much more. Love.
