This post may jeopardize my standing in the afterlife. I was in the Pantheon yesterday. I have been in Jewish temples, Christian churches, and more. I was never so awestruck as I was by the mystical power that radiated from the interior of this polythestic shrine to the Goddesses and Gods of antiquity. Though it was converted to a Christian church sometime between the fall of the Empire and the Middle Ages (which explains its survival), I don't buy it. The vibe I felt was like nothing I've ever experienced in a monotheistic place of worship.
