about me
I haven't posted my paintings or photographs here. A lot of my works right now are part of larger projects that I plan on publishing in nature books. My nightmare would be putting my stuff out on the internet and someone stealing it, putting their own copyright on it, so that I can't even use my own work. This happened to a friend with a song he wrote and sang at a party.
While I could copyright my stuff, I'd rather be doing other things than dealing with legalities. I guess this is also why most of my writing that I post here is just my political work.

The students were shot from distances of 275 to 400 feet, giving lie to claims that the students posed a threat to the Guardsmen. Four students were murdered and nine were injured. Nobody ever did time for those murders. Before... read more

[col. writ. 4/21/08] (c) '08 Mumia Abu-Jamal Like a shadowy echo out of history, angry throngs massed at the Big House in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. But this time, they were not clamoring for freedom. Or, if they were, it was for freedom from hunger. Their protests shook the government, and forced the Prime Minister, Jacques-Edourd Alexis, to step down. Several years ago, we saw massive protests in Oaxaca, Mexico, against exorbitant hikes in corn prices,... read more

April 18, 2008 To Mumia Abu-Jamal -- my brother in this Struggle; and your family, friends, and supporters. I offer you my warmest greetings. How appropriate, after so many years, that I now send you word from a cage housed in the very same state as yours. Perhaps it is destiny that we would find ourselves incarcerated so near, under similar circumstance, by similar forces, using similar excuses, for a similar love of... read more
