Since I have freckles, I am more speckled (brown) than pink. Definitely not all white. And I have been known to turn red.

Well, the problem is that None of the titles are "accurate". White people are white just as much as black people are black. Actually, I would say there is more "tint" variation within the racial group defined as "black" then there is within the racial group defined as white. I am guessing whites defined themselves as "white" in relation to the people that, in comparison, they deemed to seem black. The question is How should we "accurately" refer to different groups? We are all mutts so it would not be "exactly" accurate to call Whites "caucasian" and blacks "african". Native Americans have asian roots, south americans are a random mix of african, european and "native"...With this complex soup of colors and tints it just seems simplest to stick with the broad sweeping catagories.
It just seems to many variants to be "accurate" in picking group titles. It just seems much easier to stick with the sweeping catagories. |

well...skin tone tells us so VERY little about the actuality of our genetic make-up that its really nonsensical. How using about our actual cultural backgrounds and locations and completely excluding the irrelevant sliver of "skin tone" information used for suppression and control.
