This image is part of a series of images that I have had in development for several years - currently this is on 36"x36" canvas. It contrasts with the drawing techniques I explore - which are rapid and free hand. This image attempts to be maximumly expressive, capturing the subject (my girlfriend, Priscilla), while using the minimum of line.

From a technical point of view RSS is useless, and it is one of the reasons I did not leave syndication to RSS in memeio-xml. No one is using the same convention to assign immediacy information to their feeds. That's why timestamps sometimes seem screwy on a feed in First Say.
In the design of the memeio-xml XMLSchema I require immediacy fields. Right now immediacy information in RSS, when present, comes in one of several timestamps - dc:date, pubDate, lastBuildDate. But my guess is t...

... when a father is happy that his daughter is on vacation in Serbia, Montenegro in fact, rather than at home in England. While my youngest daughter lives in London currently, my eldest lives in Birmingham (both are reconnecting with the homeland before higher education) ... and the British police just evacuated 20,000 people from the area of Birmingham that she spends a good deal of time in. You remember Serbia, right? All that blood, rape and genocide of a few years back ... and I am ha...

There must be as much sense spoken enthusiastically about blogging and podcasting this past year as there was truth told about the war in Iraq. In other words, very little. A certain clique of East Coast socialists, you know who you are, are seeking to turn a minor technology increment and the invention of a single xml tag into a political platform, and clique.
What's the big deal? Here's a data point. And the keyword is "clique" not "tribe." Many, no - most, blogs fall into disrepair ...

... but I am a Londoner. My daughter, Celestial, is in London currently. She is safe. We now have a new shared experience. I too was in London when it was bombed - though the IRA never achieved the scale of the attack today. Like most London kids and adults I have spent a good deal of time on "the underground."
While I am saddened by these attacks against civilians, I am also saddened by much of the response I see - both from here in the USA and in London. In particular the media melo...

Here is an example of what you can do with a low light photograph that is impossible with an overlite one. The texture and contrast is entirely the result of processing the dimness in the orginal photograph.
