tribe used to rock.. i loved it. then some fucking guy tried to kill it. then the original guy tried to save it. then they fired half of their staff. next the servers got really slow. now it takes about 20 minutes to load a single page. tribe really started to wilt a while ago, actually just around the time that the nelson/ kootenay tribe (and related tribes) started to take off. then facebook took over. gross me out the fucking door. myface and spacebook can ball my fucking sucks. comments?

It is exciting to see my Photoshop-enhanced tribe logos catching on. It certainly shows the present discontentment on tribe.net. I think that people are still upset by the censorship issue-- and in many ways are still waking up to it. It is one thing to hear about the new TOU as a concept; but now that content is actually being removed, it is very upsetting. Beyond that, the new layout changes reflect a company that has been very successful at building up a user base; but now shows disregard to its customers. It is important to remember that Tribe Networks, Inc. provides the tools for its users-- us-- and *we* provide the content. It is a pretty fair deal, in my opinion. Actually, they are quite lucky! Collectively we have made an enormous web site that spans thousands of categories, subject and interests; is rich in content and endlessly entertaining. They get to throw up a few ads and make some money. We do not profit at all but simply entertain ourselves. So why does Tribe Networks, Inc. seem to have contempt for its members? Why can they not accommodate our wishes? The censorship issue is a tricky one; for now, let’s focus on the new site design. *That* is something that Tribe Networks, Inc. could easily address. No government agency is forcing them to make the site ugly and unfriendly. So why do they insist on punishing us? I estimate that 95% of tribe.net users would be delighted if they simply reverted back to the old layout. Very few people were complaining about the site design previous to the changes of January 19th, 2006. Elliot et al-- you guys make a mistake. It happens! Step back. Don’t worry about losing face. We love tribe! I hope that, in the future, Tribe Networks, Inc. will recognize that the value of the company is based entirely on the web site. As it is tribe.net members that create the content of the site, it is in the company’s best interest to work with the members and implement changes that will satisfy all parties.

DON'T BE A DICK. i said, hey you know what? if that was my sticker i'd cover up the DON'T. he looked at me and straight away asked if i had a felt tipped marker. as he pulled away, his message to the world had been inverted. i can't take all the credit, but i feel that i had a part in a wonderful transformation and it was a great start to the day. LIFE IS SHORT. BE A DICK.

i just love this freaking web site. i can't get off of this thing. when my friend lori first started going off about it, i was like, yeah, sounds cool... but it's not really my thing. i already hardly had time for all the things i wanted to do online. i think it was mikey p. that finally encouraged me to join up. now it's like, fuck, i'm on here for about an hour every day. which is quite ridiculous, but i love it. i love the fact that i have made acquaintances on tribe that i've run into in vancouver and at shambles. i could make friends anywhere; sheez, i could be at the bar or at a pot luck or a poker game right now... but somehow its interesting and novel. i love the recommendations that i come across from people with similar interests. how much better than reading an appraisal from an ad or some dreadful critic. when the urge arises, i love the opportunity to stir shit up and even go trolling and terrorizing sensitive people without having to leave the house. i love flirting shamelessly with women i don't know and may never meet. I find it intriguing to get an idea of a person’s character by checking out who their friends are, what tribes they belong to, and by stalking them to find out what crazy shit they are revealing about themselves on tribe. i enjoy my friends' blog postings... its a cool way to keep up with what's going on in heads of my peeps. it feels like the perfect fall thing to do; i sat down today and unsubscribed from about a million tribes that i belonged to. it was so easy to join them all, but then how the hell can i keep up? i've pared it down to a few select tribes that i currently follow. i’m sure that most of you fuckers spend 20 minutes a week on here at best. well, i’m tribin’ hardcore—a good hour a day in 15 minute sessions between waking up and going to bed. so what?

I found a cute chick to drive my car... I got $200 worth of booze... some clothes... a tent... I'm outta here...
