Miss Glenna extraordinaire… born with creative talent many spend a
lifetime attempting to acquire. Her home should be in London, Paris,
Prague or New York, a vast warehouse adorned with magnificent antiques
and contemporary artistic wares where she paints, stilts, costumes and
endlessly plays so the modern world can be inspired by her gifts. Don't
be fooled by her exquisitely pretty face, for she is a determined and
frank visionary who can kick hard when aroused. Just wait world, for she
is young yet and only emerging into manifestation. Anyone who has the
pleasure to know her, do watch closely, for she will show you things
largely unseen and if lucky she just may fly past wearing a pink helmet
and bearing tattoed skin….

about me
I've been practicing spectacle arts on Canada's West Coast since 2002 and have gained a strong background of skills after being privileged to work with such groups as the Carpet Bag Brigade Physical Theatre Company (San Francisco) and Flam Chen Pyrotechnic Theatre Company (Arizona). I taught stilt walking in Victoria's ICA Folkfest (2006) to children independently as well as with Mortal Coil Theatre Company based out of Vancouver for youth groups of diverse backgrounds. As a co founder of Victoria's Velo Vixens, I've performed at Portland, Oregon's PedalPalooza festival (2007) and produced the last two fire and stilt walking performances for the Velomutations annual festival in Vancouver, bringing together talented performers in combination with an assortment of skills hard to find on BC's mainland that include acro balancing, fire breathing, stilt walking and spoken word performance. I recently designed characters for Vancouver's Public Dreams Society community events such as The Parade of Lost Souls (2006/7) and Illuminares (2006/7) that draw tens of thousands of participants and families to Vancouver's East end. Currently acquiring a BFA at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

Although learning new printing methods and comparing Russian avante-garde art theories to contemporary recycled bike part assemblage is super captivating and i feel like i'm covering ground that hasn't been explored yet (could be i'm naive), (breath in), i REALLY miss spectacle arts and circus performance. I'm currently being visited by a couple of members of the Cyclown Circus and I'm pretty

Two exciting things to share with the public- RAD art show +BikesInside (early February) Despite being very sick and barely being able to stand up and learning to use 5 powertools in three days, I managed to make a headstart on a large panel made with reclaimed wood (warps! no!) at eciad Foundation shop for Chris Bentzen's R.A.D. Ride Art Drink show at the Gallery Gachet. Was real nice to
