In almost fifteen years of experience in technical recruiting, you would not believe the technical resumes I have seen from even some very senior members in our technology community. Thought I’d remind folks of a few things that a technical resume should be.
What A Technical Resume Needs To Be:

Corporations have developed a defense around themselves, like the Great Wall of China. Resumes find their way into a dark hole and follow-up phone calls are never returned. I understand why a company wants to protect itself, but to build a wall so high, you can’t even see who’s trying to knock at your door, is not advantageous for hiring top-quality talent.

Like others, I looked forward to the season finale of Donald Trump’s “Apprentice” show… Had this funny thought pop into my mind…

Participated in an HR.com webinars on “Strategies for Sourcing the BEST Sales and Business Development Candidates” – and something that was stressed in the presentation was that it’s pretty difficult to sell a salesperson – especially when you’re trying to discuss an employment opportunity with a successful and seasoned sale pro.
